‘VPR’: Jax Taylor Pays Tribute to His ‘Queen’ Brittany Cartwright on Wedding Anniversary
June 29, 2019, is an important day in the lives of Vanderpump Rules stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor. It’s the day the couple finally tied the knot at a Kentucky castle. Viewers saw the three-day event playing out in several episodes this past season.
VPR Wedding Overloads Viewers
Much of the drama surrounding Jax and Brittany’s wedding was whether co-star Tom Sandoval would be best man or not. After a falling out over the homophobic pastor officiating the wedding, Jax disinvited Sandoval to the nuptials.
However, the couple got a new pastor, *NSYNC’s Lance Bass. And Jax ultimately let Sandoval in the wedding party as co-best man with VPR’s Tom Schwartz. The wedding went off without a hitch, though Jax raged his way through the rest of Season 8. In fact, his friendship with Sandoval is currently ‘on a break.’
Bravo editors chose to drag the Jax and Brittany wedding festivities over several episodes. By the end, fans were weary of weddings and Jax and Brittany.
Once the reason was over, more off-screen drama followed, with Bravo firing four VPR stars at once. Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were let go for racially insensitive behavior. However, fans feel that Jax – and by extension, Brittany – also needs to go.
Bravo has yet to respond to an online petition garnering more than 10K signatures to oust Jax.
Jax Pays Tribute to His ‘Queen’
Days before their wedding anniversary, Brittany’s mom ended up in ICU after bladder surgery. While Brittany went to Kentucky to be by her mom’s side, Jax stayed in L.A. for a few days. But he was back at his wife’s side by the weekend.
Jax and Brittany celebrated their one-year anniversary in Kentucky. Jax gave Brittany flowers and a card, sharing a pic of both on his Instagram Stories. On Monday evening, Jax posted a wedding photo of Brittany with a heartfelt caption, The Blast reports.
The VPR star wrote that Brittany is “queen.” He wrote that the SURver is his “ride or die” and “best friend.” He finished the post by telling her that he loves her “to the moon.”

Jax and Brittany both shut off the comment option on their respective Instagrams after the Bravo firings.
Brittany Calls Jax Her ‘Best Friend’ and ‘Lobster’
Brittany was the first to pay tribute to their anniversary on social media. On Monday morning, she shared a photo from the couple’s wedding. They stand on a lush lawn with the castle behind them.
For a caption, Brittany wrote that Jax is her “best friend” and her “lobster.” She also wrote that she loves him “to pieces.” Brittany has found herself defending Jax and his behavior in the latter half of Season 8. She said at the reunion that she will always side with her husband.
Bravo has yet to announce if Vanderpump Rules will return for another season without Stassi and Kristen. Check back with us for updates on the Jax’s future with the show, as well.
