Bachelorette Season 16 wasn’t off the cards, according to production

When Matt James got nominated as the first Black male lead on The Bachelor, Clare Crawley’s fans feared her season might get canceled. Those who can’t stand her cheered and hoped for someone else. While the news came out that some of the male contestants might change, ABC production never gave up on her season. We noted that they made a plan to get it filmed at all costs. On June 23, US Weekly reported that Clare gave some feedback about her season of The Bachelorette.

She spoke on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. Actually, Clare revealed that even she wondered if the show would ever start filming. But she got the happy news that soon, sooner than she expected, the cameras start rolling. Naturally, she feels very excited about meeting her contestants. Clare admitted that she Googled her Bachelorette contestants. Plus, friends also got ahold of her with the information they collected. But, you can’t learn what turns Clare on by watching somebody’s social media.

Clare smells her men and that’s what turns her on or off

When it comes to men, Clare says she’s a very “pheromonal” person. The scent of a man does it for her. During the podcast, she said, “If they smell like the right smell, that’s everything to me.” She also mentioned the importance of her “dogs.” Clare admitted that guys with allergies might happen along. “Take your Zaditor guys!” she said. Those dogs come first in her life. Presumably, if you give her a puppy and smell like a kennel, you’re in it to win it.

Hopefully, cringeworthy opening scenes don’t show men leaping out of kennels wearing doggie outfits! Many cringeworthy scenes come to mind. Remember Jo-Jo Fletcher meeting the guy who arrived in a kilt? He said he’s part Chinese, part Scottish but Scottish “below the waist!” Who can forget Matt Donald and his tractor or the Box King on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette? Mind you, Clare Crawley featured in some cringeworthy scenes of her own. Remember, she tearfully sat in the forest talking out her problems with a raccoon during Bachelor in Paradise.
