Teen Mom stars often get trolls on their social media posts. And, usually, they ignore them. Or, they delete them if they find the time. Sometimes, fans of people like Leah Messer report the posts. For some reason, it seems trolls come out a little more than usual during COVID-19. They even trolled on Leah’s daughter Ali. Shocked, Leah slapped back at them.
Teen Mom – Leah Messer’s daughter Ali suffers from Titin’s muscular dystrophy
Fans of the MTV show know that Leah’s daughter, Ali struggles a bit. At just four years old, doctors diagnosed her with muscular dystrophy. On Memorial Weekend, Leah shared a photo of the two of them on her Instagram. It showed her snuggled up with her daughter. About 1,000 people commented on the post. Most of them seemed kind and very sweet. For example, one fan noted, “I… feel her spirit through the tv! She has a big purpose! ❤️🙏 God bless!”
Other examples of kindness, included, “Such a precious girl. (Opinion formed from watching the show). All the prayers of health & happiness as she gets older 😊😊❤️.” Well, Leah Messer needs those prayers for Ali. Unfortunately, the Teen Mom star’s daughter got diagnosed with a rare form of the illness. Usually, it only affects adults. In fact, Titin’s muscular dystrophy probably means that Ali gets weaker and weaker, and ends up in a wheelchair. InTouch Weekly reported that Leah always lets her daughter hold onto “her dreams.”
Leah slams ‘despicable’ trolls
Fans know that Leah made mistakes in her life. But, she cares deeply for her daughters and hopes they avoid the same mistakes she made. And, we noted that she quickly prepares them to avoid unplanned pregnancies as they near puberty. Obviously, Ali’s condition weighs on her mind. So, fans understand her fury and disgust at trolls who hit on Ali. Everyone knows the unwritten law that children remain off-limits on social media. But, it seems some people just don’t care.
Taking to Twitter, the Teen Mom star let her feelings out about trollers. She posted up, “Some of the comments on a photo of me with Ali are despicable.” She noted that she felt “sickened.” And, her question seems on-point. Many decent people also feel mind-boggled by the hate on social media. She asked, “What world are we living and raising our children in?” Then, she encouraged people to teach kids that “unique differences…make us the beautiful individuals we are!!!”
Some of the comments on a photo of me with Ali are despicable. I’m sickened. 😑 What world are we living and raising our children in? 😓 Let’s teach all of our kids that we are each born with unique differences that make us the beautiful individuals we are!!!

Teen Mom fans shocked and support Leah Messer
Leah’s certainly not alone when it comes to disgust with trollers of children. In fact, some fans proudly shared photos of their own kids and relatives who bravely battle with differences. One fan posted a photo of a very handsome young man. She said, “I feel your pain….this is my son.”
The Teen Mom fan added, “He is a congenital amputee, and people are *ssholes.” Yes, many people agree that trollers of kids with challenges fit the description exactly. Do you agree? Sound off in the comments below.
