Chris Harrison ‘Felt Really Bad’ For Madison Prewett On ‘The Bachelor’ Finale
It’s unlikely that Bachelor Nation will forget about the finale of Peter Weber’s season anytime soon. The finale features Peter’s mom, Barb Weber, slamming Madison Prewett. Throughout the finale, viewers saw Barb making nasty faces as Madison spoke. The whole finale was somewhat comical, thanks to Barb’s facial expressions. But, fans think that it was pretty awkward too, especially for Madison. After the finale, Madison admitted that she cried about it all. Fans don’t blame her and they think that Barb was really harsh.
Until now, host Chris Harrison hasn’t said a lot about the finale. But, he’s now sharing how he feels about that finale. First, he points out that he didn’t know about Barb’s face being shown in the corner of the screen. Once he started talking to Barb during the finale, he wasn’t expecting her shady responses. This is because he didn’t see her facial expressions the whole time as everyone else did.
So, he was a bit shocked when he talked to Barb on live TV. He says, “And I went to Barb thinking, ‘This will be sweet. Maybe Barb will just say, ‘Look, we don’t love this, but it’s my son so we’re just going to give this a shot.’” As fans know, Barb was not a fan of Madison.

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison ‘felt really bad’ for Madison Prewett
Now that Chris is opening up about the finale, he also talks about how he feels about what Madison went through in the finale. He says, “Holy cow. She brought out a water cannon and just beat Madison on live TV. My jaw dropped. I did not see that coming. She just tore the poor girl apart, and I didn’t know what to do.”
Then, he continues, “I actually felt sick to my stomach. I felt really bad that this poor girl was getting taken apart like that on live TV because what is she supposed to do? And what’s Peter supposed to do?”
Even though Bachelor Nation was aware that Barb didn’t love the idea of her son dating Madison, nobody was expecting her to go off on Madison so harshly on live TV. It sounds like Chris wasn’t expecting this either.
After Barb’s actions during the finale, she was trolled by The Bachelor fans. As it turns out, some people really dislike Barb, especially because she was so awful toward Madison.
Now, Peter is dating former contestant Kelley Flanagan. And it sounds like Peter’s parents approve of his choice this time around.
