Due to the coronavirus, more and more people are ordering takeout. Since they can’t go out to eat, people are choosing to order food. This has likely contributed to more sales for food delivery services, such as Uber Eats and Grubhub. As it turns out, a member of the Duggar family is delivering food through Grubhub amid the coronavirus.

On social media, Derick Dillard shared a photo of himself on his driveway. In the photo, he’s holding an insulated Grubhub bag. He’s also holding a donut and a coffee. It’s likely that Jill took this photo before or after Derick left for work. He thanks a donut shop for providing Grubhub delivery drivers with “food on the run.” During these hard times, it seems like businesses are stepping up and offering support in any way they can.

Derick’s post came as a bit of a surprise to some Duggar fans. Nonetheless, fans are happy that he’s working through these difficult times. He’s providing for his family, and he’s delivering food to those who may need it. Plus, delivery services like Grubhub and Uber Eats allow people to support local businesses. Local businesses are suffering without the same crowds they usually draw.

Though some fans didn’t expect Derick to be delivering for Grubhub during the coronavirus, this isn’t new for him. He’s been a Grubhub deliver driver for nearly a year.

Duggar: Derick Dillard previously shared about Grubhub

As TV Shows Ace reports, Derick first shared about delivering through Grubhub back in September 2019. He could have been working at Grubhub longer, but he didn’t disclose the information to his followers until September 2019. It seems like this is one way he’s been able to pay his way through law school. Duggar fans didn’t know that Derick is still working for Grubhub until seeing his recent Instagram post.

It’s unclear whether Derick has been working for Grubhub this whole time. He might have just picked it up again due to the coronavirus pandemic. Or, he could have been doing it consistently since 2019. With most delivery services, you can choose to accept or decline jobs. Derick may have recently opened up more of his schedule for Grubhub. Law school is likely winding down right now due to the end of the semester. And, Derick’s classes are online due to the coronavirus, which could free up more of his schedule.

So, what do you think of Derick delivering for Grubhub? Are you surprised to hear he’s still doing it? Leave a comment below.
