Teresa Giudice’s Dad Giacinto Gorga Passes Away
On Friday, Teresa Giudice revealed the sad news that her dad, Giacinto Gorga, 76, had passed away. He died on April 3, 2020.
She shared three different posts on Instagram to share the news with her social media followers. The posts are slideshows of pictures from his life. In addition to sharing those pictures, Teresa also wrote a heartfelt message.
Teresa wrote,
“My father, my protector, my hero, God took you early this morning to be with mommy, I saw you peacefully pass & I know you kept fighting for my daughters and I. I have so many amazing thoughts of you, every day seeing you in the kitchen at my home, teaching my girls to cook, my partner in crime on shopping trips, your love of the shore & my travel buddy.”

Then, she continues, “You always wanted everyone to have a good time, eat great food, have a stiff drink and enjoy life. You are the absolute strongest man I know & I know you missed mommy so much but you stayed for us. Thank you for being the best husband, father & Nonno. Your devotion to mommy was one for the record books, you were the true example and a gentleman and devoted husband. You visited mommy every single day & would go twice for the days you missed while traveling or if you were to sick to go, my silver lining is knowing you’ll be together now.
She wraps up her message, saying, “💕Thank you for showing us all what true love is. Love you Papa Rest In Peace. 🙏🏻❤️😭 4-3-20.”
Teresa Giudice asks for prayers for her father
On Thursday, Teresa took to social media to ask for prayers for her dad. She said, “At this trying time I’m graciously asking for any extra prayers, good vibes, love….please send my fathers way. My father is struggling and my girls and I need him, we need his love, his presence & his strength. ”
It’s obvious that Giacinto was well-loved. When Teresa’s social media followers saw her plea for prayers, they became worried about her father and asked what was going on. There’s been no response from Teresa on the cause of his death. It seems like there was something wrong with his health. Unfortunately, it sounds like things got bad quickly. As of right now, it’s unclear what exactly caused her father’s death.
Teresa lost her mother in 2017 due to a battle with pneumonia. At that point, her father moved in with her and her family. So, they have been very close over the past few years.
