The coronavirus is causing many issues in Bachelor Nation. Not only are the locations being changed for Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette, but now another show is in jeopardy. Fans have been excited about The Bachelor: Summer Games since it was announced recently. However, the threat of coronavirus may cause this anticipated show to be cancelled before it ever starts.

Coronavirus fears  could cancel The Bachelor: Summer Games

Yahoo! shared the news that the coronavirus could impact Summer Games. Robert Mills, ABC’s senior vice president of alternative programming addressed the questions during this week’s episode of Julia Cunningham’s Bachelor Recap on SiriusXM. Mills said, “Well, it is an issue, certainly, because this is a show that has an international cast, too. So it’s definitely — these are things that are being talked about, I will say. So let’s hope Bachelor Summer Games happens.”

Everyone hopes to see this spin-off take place this summer. It will only be two weeks long, but will give Bachelor fans a little bit of competition, drama and romance. Hopefully fears will subside and Summer Games can continue as planned. As of now officials are saying the real Summer Olympics will continue as planned in Tokyo.

Who might be on Summer Games?

Mills said one fan favorite is expressing interest in joining the cast. So who is it? None other than former Bachelorette Hannah Brown. Mills said, “Hannah B., too, has also said, ‘I find this interesting,’ because she likes to win.”

Mills went on to say “I think it’s going to be really fun. We found a really great place to hold it.” As for who is officially on the cast, they do not know for sure just yet. They are still getting details in place. He did say, “I still think we need to look at the creative, and it’s like … if somebody is with somebody or not, can they be in it?” The show will consist of Bachelor alumni from the United States and internationally.

Some other names of possible contenders are Jordan Rodgers, JoJo Fletcher and former Bachelor Colton Underwood. The problem with these contestants is that they are all in current relationships, so will they be allowed to join?

Who would you like to see join the cast of The Bachelor: Summer Games? Do you think the show will even happen with everyone fearing the coronavirus? Time will tell. In the meantime, don’t miss Peter Weber’s exciting two night finale of The Bachelor, March 9 and 10 on ABC.
