The Bachelor: Summer Games will be third franchise show airing over summer months

Entertainment Tonight confirmed the news that the new summer spin-off is happening. Rob Mills, ABC’s Senior Vice President of Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming, said the show found success when they launched Winter Games in 2018. The show aired during Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor.

Winter Games launched with Bachelor stars from around the globe and was in honor of the Winter Olympics. The reality stars were competing in winter themed competitions while also hoping to find love.

Never fear Bachelor fans, Mills has confirmed the show will not be replacing Bachelor in Paradise. Mills said, “What’s nice about Summer Games is when we did Winter GamesBachelor was still airing, so it was a lot to… this is just Summer Games, and then Paradise will start.”

Who could be on the summer spin-off?

Mills went on to say, “I think it’s going to be really fun. We found a really great place to hold it… But I mean, it’s going to be so fun seeing these people in these great [sports]. I mean, track and field, swimming… this is a real Olympics.” He continued saying that he’d love to see Colton Underwood, Jordan Rodgers or JoJo Fletcher appear on the summer show. However, these people he mentioned are all in relationships so it’s not clear what they are thinking with this list of possible contestants. Who would you like to see on the show?

Another Bachelor spin-off is coming in April

The Bachelor: Summer Games is not the first Bachelor spin-off announced this year. A musical twist of the hit reality dating show will kick off in April. It is called The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. The contestants are not past alumni of the franchise and filming has actually already concluded. Fans can catch this new show premiering on ABC, April 13.

In the meantime, everyone is trying to figure out who the current Bachelor Peter Weber will end up with at the conclusion of his journey. Even Reality Steve hasn’t been able to spoil this season. Don’t miss all the drama and speculation surrounding Peter Monday nights on ABC.
