John-David and Abbie Duggar welcomed their first baby to the world on January 9.

Throughout the pregnancy, Abbie suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum. John talked about having to care for her. He said, “It hit her hard, and she was down for probably seven weeks with severe morning sickness. She got diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, and she was hospitalized a couple times. We made multiple visits to the ER for dehydration. … She couldn’t eat, pretty much, or drink, or anything. So she was actually on IVs and had IVs at home. So that was a pretty scary time.”

Fortunately, both mom Abbie and baby Grace Annette are doing well. The couple is absolutely thrilled to be parents. And, fans are excited to see how parenthood goes for them. Because of Abbie’s difficult pregnancy and the fact that they got married later in life, fans are wondering if they’ll have a large family. It’s possible that they only have a couple more kids.

So far, the couple hasn’t been very active on social media. John and Abbie share an Instagram page, as do many of the other Duggar couples. They have shared a couple of posts about their new addition. But, they didn’t seem to post often prior to her birth either.
