Gossip has been flying, and rumor has it that the ladies of RHOC are still waiting for new contracts. A source told Radar Online, “the pickup letters are going to be sent out the week of January 6 and no one is safe.”
The source said the executives are considering firing the whole cast to avoid a boring show. Some fans think this has been coming for a while. The girls of Real Housewives of Orange County are coming off a crazy season and an even crazier reunion.
Has This Been A Plan For RHOC Execs Since Vicki’s Demotion?
Vicki Gunvalson was demoted on RHOC to a friend despite being an OG of the OC. The source said the demotion may end with her getting completely fired.
Gunvalson was openly upset during the reunion. She posted on Instagram, “it was a rough day and there is a lot you the viewers didn’t see. I shouldn’t have gone on, as I was lied to that morning by them.” She was not allowed to stay for the whole reunion and she took offense. Vicki was vocal saying she wouldn’t come back if things didn’t change.
Radar Online had reported before that producers were not sure how to move forward with RHOC. They reportedly don’t want the show to become stale. Vicki had taken a pay cut to stay on the show as a friend. The housewives earn different amounts, but Gina’s divorce documents revealed she earned one hundred thousand for her season. Vicki only got paid $20,000 an episode as a friend when she used to get $60,000.
Then There Were The Fights And The Lawsuits
There hasn’t been a shortage of drama on RHOC. Vicki Gunvalson sued Kelly Dodd for calling her a con woman. She dropped the lawsuit after some fans thought production had worked into their contracts they couldn’t sue. Emily and her husband, Shane Simpson, had a tough year in their relationship. Vicki showed her displeasure for Braunwyn saying she was disgusting. Vicki yelled at her for making out with Tamra screaming, “it’s my show.” She later took to her Instagram to let fans know she wasn’t coming from a place of hate. She didn’t want Braunwyn to make out with anyone no matter what.
The franchise has a history of shaking things up. They’ve never fired a full cast and started over before. It would certainly be a shock. Fans will just have to wait and see if the show really does clean the slate.
