Hallmark’s Christmas In Montana is about hoping for a Christmas miracle. Can a rancher put aside his pride in order to help save the thing he loves most? Kellie Martin (Army Wives) and Colin Ferguson (You’re The Worst) star in this uplifting Miracles of Christmas movie, loosely based on her own life. What Is Christmas In Montana About?
Travis (Ferguson) is a struggling rancher. He has applied for a bank loan, so they send Sara (Martin), an efficiency expert. She is a single mom from Montana, and Christmas is coming soon. Sara is there to help Travis make some revenue, but he is too laid back in his approach to dealing with the finances of the ranch he so loves.
When she arrives, she wants to get right to business. But, he has to help her get adjusted to “Montana time,” and a slower paced lifestyle that is opposite of her big city life. Sara starts to fall in love with the small town, the lifestyle and the man. But, this could be his last Christmas at the ranch if they don’t find some profit centers. As Christmas approaches, Sara has to make some major decision, not the least being whether she wants to spend Christmas in Montana.
Christmas Movie ‘Loosely’ Based On Kellie Martin’s Own Life
When doing promo work for Hallmark, Kellie Martin and Colin Ferguson told the story of Christmas in Montana. Kellie revealed that her husband, Keith Christian and he was from Montana. She was from Los Angeles. She then shared that “This story is inspired from my own life.” The two are an “unlikely pair.”
Ferguson himself revealed that he was quite nervous to play Travis. But, that calmed down once he understood that the movie was only “loosely” based on Kellie’s life.
When Can You See Hallmark’s Christmas In Montana?
Christmas In Montana premiered on Saturday, December 14 at 9 p.m. Eastern/8 p.m. Central on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Encores will air, with dates including Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. Eastern, Dec. 18 at 11:03 p.m., Dec. 21 at 7 p.m., Dec. 24 at 9 a.m., Dec. 26 at 11 p.m., Jan. 2 at 7 p.m., and Jan. 5 at 3 a.m., all times Eastern.
