Hallmark’s ‘The Christmas Club’ Has A Lot of Christmas Magic
As Hallmark continues their Countdown to Christmas, how about a Christmas movie with love, magic, romance and Cameron Mathison? This is a movie about helping others and good will to men. This is all in The Christmas Club!
What Is The Christmas Club About?
Christmas magic ensues as dance teacher Olivia Bennett (Elizabeth Mitchell) and a high-powered business consultant Edward Taylor (Mathison) surprisingly meet. They come together in order to help an elderly woman who has lost her Christmas Club savings. They replace her lost money with their own money.
Like magic, they each notice a lot of things, especially kindness and people paying-it-forward. They enjoy Christmas traditions, including sleigh rides, cookies and more magic. Unfortunately, this closeness is shattered when Olivia unexpectedly discovers it is one of Edward’s clients who is buying the dance studio where she works. This devastates her.
Edward finds a way to help solve this. He finds a dance studio for Olivia to venture out on her own and he secretly assists her. He helps her with the loan, but Olivia learns that truth. Can the magic they had with restoring the Christmas Club savings bring this couple together at Christmas?

Cameron Mathison Says This Christmas Movie Saved His Life
As with many Hallmark movies, there is a deeper message in the heartwarming Christmas story. This can be one of unity, reflection or love. In the case of actor Cameron Mathison, the message saved his life.
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Mathison had kidney cancer surgery back in September. Mathison credits the story of being mindful in The Christmas Club as saving his life. Speaking to ET he said that this Christmas movie “is about following the signs and looking at the little things in your life as little signs and indications of decisions to make.” After filming this movie he realized that there were little signs that he should be aware of and made an appointment with a doctor to investigate what was troubling his body.
After everything he went through, he now feels he has been given a second chance on life. He admits, it “sounds corny,” but he appreciates his health and no longer takes anything for granted. As for the movie, he predicts that “I have a feeling it’s going to be one of people’s favorites. It’s one of those movies that’s special. It’s got humor, it’s got love, it’s got surprises, it’s got romance, it’s got everything. And it’s got Christmas!”

When Can You See The Christmas Club?
There are still a few airings of this heartwarming Christmas story. The Christmas Club premiered on November 27 at 8 p.m., with encores airing on Dec. 7 at 12 p.m., Dec. 13 at 4 p.m., and Dec. 25 at 3:30 a.m., all times Eastern.
