Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor has been through a lot of ups and downs in the last few years. 2019 was supposed to be one of the happiest years of his life. The Bravo star almost lost his long-time love, Brittany Cartwright, when he cheated on her with a fellow SUR employee.
The couple was able to reconnect after Jax suffered the devastating loss of his father in 2017. According to People, Jax has suffered another family loss. Jax and Brittany tied the knot in Kentucky in early 2019, surrounded by friends, but not all of his family.
Vanderpump Rules Star Still Estranged From Mother
One family member notably absent from the wedding was Jax’s mother. He openly discussed their estrangement during Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules and the reunion episodes.
Jax revealed at the reunion that he hasn’t spoken to his mother since his father’s passing. Brittany pleaded with Jax’s mother to contact him, but they later confirmed that she didn’t attend the wedding.
The falling out between mother and son happened due to his father’s illness. Jax felt that his mother didn’t inform him or his siblings how severe the cancer was. Or how little time his father had left. According to Jax, his mother didn’t call until his father was already in the hospital dying.
His father passed away from stage IV esophageal cancer in 2017. Brittany quickly went back to Jax’s side and the couple has remained together since.
Jax Shares Tweet About Aunt’s Death
On September 26, Jax posted a tweet informing his followers of a sad family loss. His Aunt Sharon passed away, though he did not give details on how or when. In the tweet, he referenced the tough times his family has had the last few years.
“I lost two of my friends, my father, my two uncles and 20 minutes ago, my aunt…I just can’t handle any more deaths. I just can’t.”
It has been a rough three years for my familyand I , I lost two of my friends, my father, my two uncles and 20 minutes ago, my aunt. I do not know what God’s plan is, I don’t even want to to know anymore. I just can’t handle any more deaths. I just can’t. 💟😢 RIP Aunt Sharon.

What’s Next for Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor?
Despite rumors, Jax and Brittany remain happily married. Their 2019 wedding will likely feature heavily on the upcoming Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules.
The couple left a chair open at their wedding with a photo of his dad in tribute. The wedding program honored him with the quote,
“We know you’d be here today if Heaven wasn’t so far away.”
Hopefully, 2020 will be a better year for Jax. While Bravo has yet to announce an airdate, Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules should air in early 2020. They have been filming this season already.
