Tyler Cameron Reveals He Was Offered The Job Of ‘The Bachelor’ Before Peter Weber
There was a lot of debate on who the next Bachelor should be. Then, it was revealed Peter Weber would be taking on the role. However, according to Tyler Cameron, it was almost him.
Tyler Cameron was asked to be ‘The Bachelor’
According to Us Weekly, Tyler Cameron says that he was initially asked to be the new Bachelor for the upcoming season. However, the model just didn’t think he was in the right mental space to take it on right now.
“I just I sat on it, thought about it, and my heart wasn’t in it,” he explained. “And that’s something you have to be fully invested in. I was on the other side of it as a contestant, which is a much easier role than being the lead of the show,” Tyler said.

This comes as a big shock considering it was initially rumored that he was completely out of the running due to his relationship with Gigi Hadid. Chris Harrison even previously said that Tyler wouldn’t make a good Bachelor for this reason Us Weekly says.
“He’s probably enjoying life really, really well — but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette. So, it’s about sincerity. It’s about where you are in your life. And if that’s where he is in his life, then he’s not the guy for us,” Chris said about Tyler.
Things Aren’t Adding Up…
Tyler seems to have brought this (Gigi Hadid) up as a reason he decided to turn down the role too though. He says that you shouldn’t go on the show if you are seeing other people. He’s not wrong, that would certainly mean your heart isn’t fully in either place and that wouldn’t be fair to anyone involved.
“You shouldn’t go on the show if you have a girlfriend … if you’re dating somebody or seeing somebody,” Tyler admitted.
In addition to this reveal being a shock, it’s also a shock that he talks about seeing someone. He literally just revealed that he and Gigi are just friends. Was that a lie, or is he seeing someone other than Gigi right now? He says that right now he is just focused on loving himself.
Overall, all this stuff with Tyler seems kind of confusing and shady. Is he dating Gigi or not? Did they really ask him to be The Bachelor or is he just trying to steal the show? There are way too many stories and unknowns to really know the truth at this point.
