Brandi Redmond Of ‘RHOD’ Responds To Critics Of Her Parenting

Brandi Redmond of RHOD is firing back at those who criticize her parenting based on the show. Recently according to Page Six she’s received messages from people about her ten year old. Brooklyn has been sassy like a lot of ten-year-old girls.

Brooklyn is the oldest of three kids. Brandi had Brinkley who is 7 and Bruin who is 1. She said people have been judging my parenting and my little girl. The former Dallas cowboy cheerleader said it’s hard to hear all the negativity.

Brandi Redmond said while the online bullying is difficult, she’s also had some positive experiences. She’s willing to take advice if people are right. Brandi said if you’ve got it figured out write a book and she’ll read it, because she hasn’t yet. She said she’d noticed a change in her daughter’s behavior on RHOD’s latest episode. Redmond said, “Bruin takes up a lot of my attention and time and I can see how that’s frustrating to Brooklyn.”

She said if she talked back to her parents she would have gotten the belt. Brandi doesn’t want to do that to her kids so she’s been taking things away. She thinks that somehow has just built more of a wall and given her daughter more of an attitude. The mom of three admits she doesn’t know what to do.”

The advice and comments on Brandi Redmond’s Instagram ranged from helpful to hateful. One commented, “Your child is going to face society one day and we won’t be as passive. You’re setting her up for failure.”

Another put it bluntly saying, “I like you Brandi but your daughter needs discipline. Her behavior was not cute or funny.”

Brandi Redmond said she tries to keep them from watching the show, but she can’t always protect them from comments. She told her children it’s important to have respect for themselves and others. Cautioning them that it’s easy to sit behind a screen and make mean comments is really all she can do. She said as their mom, it’s her job to protect their eyes and ears.

She said people being critical aren’t enough to make her leave Dallas. Brandi said, “if I wasn’t able to give my all and who I am, then I shouldn’t be a part of it because it wouldn’t be fair to anybody.”
