90 Day Fiance: The Other Way fans know that Tiffany Franco of Maryland met and fell in love with Ronald Smith while on vacation. She needed to relocate to South Africa as he had a criminal conviction and could not move to the USA. Now in real life, in South Africa, people ask her questions about her life there. It seems in some areas, Tiffany’s loving it, but she’s still got a lot to learn about her new country.
90 Day Fiance spoilers said Tiffany and Ronald married and she lives in South Africa
Ahead of the show, TV Shows Ace reported that from their social media, they already married. In time, as things unfold, we see her and her son Daniel in the country. Because of that, fans of 90 Day Fiance ask questions about Africa. Tiffany answered some of them in a Q&A this week. From her answers, she loves the place. It seems she still needs to explore some more. Also, the town she lives in is not a super-luxury area, so she may miss out on some things.
In her Q&A, Tiffany said she lives in Randfontein, Ronald’s hometown. Randfontein lies west of the big city of Johannesburg, also known as Jozi. It started as a gold mining town and much of the local industry is related to that field. There are also farms, homesteads, suburbs, shops, malls, and sports clubs.
But, it’s not Sandton, the most upmarket area of the Gauteng province. In other words, the town is where normal people live much like many 90 Day Fiance fans. It’s not really a place where too many ultra-wealthy people would choose to stay. At the same time, it’s no low-lifer slum.
Tiffany answers questions about South Africa, in time she’ll learn more
During her Q&A on Instagram, fans of 90 Day Fiance asked her if she went on a safari yet. She replied that she had been and she loved it when they came across a wild elephant. Tiffany was blown away as the animals are not kept in enclosures. Plus, near Randfontein, there are other natural places like the Krugersdorp Game Reserve. Of cultural interest is the famous Cradle Of Mankind. So, the outdoors and animals are not far away from Tiffany.
Asked by one The Other Way follower about shopping, Tiffany said she hates that she can’t get Amazon Prime. Plus, she misses the shops that she got used to in the USA. So, it seems Randfontein may not offer many fantastic shopping experiences. Plus, Ronald may not be able to afford to drive for hours and hours to get to the more upmarket malls and boutiques in the country.
One day, no doubt she’ll find shops she loves. However, bear in mind, we saw already on the 90 Day Fiance show that Ronald’s not flush with money. So, we can only assume he’s not necessarily flat broke, but luxuries probably won’t fall out his wallet every day. As one follower pointed out, there are loads of expensive shops in the country, depending on where you are.
School and surfing, Tiffany’s not a surfer
Lots of 90 Day Fiance fans asked Tiffany about Daniel, her son. Well, she told them he loves South Africa. Also, she often posts photos of him. He gets seen in his school uniform. In South Africa, all kids wear school uniforms. Usually, for boys, there would be a long-sleeved shirt, a tie, a belt, a hat, shorts, and in winter, long pants and a blazer.
Asked about surfing, Tiffany said she can’t surf, but she imagines Durban or Cape Town would be good places where there is surf. Yes, she’s right. Durban’s great for surfing and Cape Town is awesome as well. Maybe one day, they can take Daniel for a vacation to Durban. Another thing she mentioned is that it’s winter in South Africa this time of the year – opposite to the USA. However, it’s not really cold compared to America.
