Tammy Slaton heads to rehab
Tammy Slaton heads to rehab during the 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 3 Premiere. Amy, Chris, and Misty admit they are thrilled Tammy has made this decision and hope for the best. The episode features a lot of clips of Tammy working hard at the rehab. Tammy explains that the staff is nice, but they push her hair. She explained they have her doing all different kinds of exercises to make it easier for her to get around and do things.
She also reveals the food is gross and bland at the facility. Likewise, the portions are also about 25 percent of what she would normally consume. Things, however, seem to be going really well as she weighs in and discovers she’s lost 59 pounds. Tammy Slaton explains that her doctors want to see her lose at least 100 pounds before she leaves the facility. She, however, feels like she’s learned what they have to offer and she wants to go home.
Bails on rehab, heads back home
Tammy Slaton calls her family to let them know she’s decided to return home. She explains that she misses her home, her bed, her things, and her family. Amy asks if she is going against medical recommendations to return home. Tammy acknowledges that she is, but she knows she can do this on her own now.
The family decides to embrace Tammy’s decision instead of forcing her to stay at the facility. So, they decorated her home to welcome her home. This included getting her a welcome home present to make cooking her own food a little easier for her to do.
Tammy’s family, however, fears she will backslide being back home.
