Even the best Dancing With The Stars pairs will fight now and then, right? If you caught DWTS this week, you probably saw Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten really get into it during the prerecorded packages.

Alan and Amanda are typically some of the best performers on the show, so some fans felt really shocked to see them fight with each other in the rehearsal room.

Just before their performance, fans saw them gripe at each other and even use a word or two that had to be censored. Are things really that hostile backstage? Amanda Kloots recently commented on the fight and provided an update.

Amanda Kloots says her partnership with Alan Bersten is strong, even after the fight

Not every professional dancer and their celebrity partner get along. Maks Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo are pretty strong examples of that.

However, it doesn’t seem like this is the case when it comes to Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten. We just happened to catch a bad moment.

“Well, Alan’s hard on me. I like tough love though,” The Talk hostess told Us Weekly. “Like, it really does make me work harder, especially when I come in after a full day of work and I’m exhausted. I need him to push me.”

Amanda went on to say that the lines of communication between her and Alan are actually quite strong.

“We work through everything together because we know … we have to be together in order to take this thing home,” she said.

Alan happily agreed.

“These hardships only make us stronger,” the 27-year-old pro chimed in. “No one said it was ever going to be easy — and Amanda shows [that] every week when she goes out there and her blood, sweat, and tears are left on the floor.”

All the hard work definitely paid off. The two had remarkable scores during the Janet Jackson episode and easily made it into the semifinals.

The pair start prepping for a competitive semifinals episode

Dancing With The Stars Season 30 is wrapping up soon. The semifinals are next Monday and Alan and Amanda secured their place. But they’ll need your votes if you want to see them compete in the finale and even take home the Mirrorball Trophy. Absolutely anything could happen next.

What kind of routine would you like to see Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten perform next? Their Janet Jackson Night jazz number to “Miss You Much” definitely got a lot of attention, as well as their Cha Cha dance-off. The two might have had disagreements behind the scenes, but they really pulled together when it counted the most.
