‘600-Lb. Life’ Season 10: Nathan Prater Update, Where Is He Now?
The My 600-Lb. Life Season 10 Premiere featuring Nathan Prater and his wife Amber aired tonight and many fans are looking for an update: Where is he now? In search of updates on where the TLC star is now, viewers turn to social media to look for weight loss progress.
Unlike his wife Amber, Nathan did have the weight loss surgery before the Season 10 Premiere episode came to an end. He, however, almost immediately went off the rails.
So, fans of My 600-Lb. Life are looking for an update on Nathan Prater. Where is he now? Has he continued to lose weight?
My 600-Lb. Life Season 10 Premiere Aired This Week
As we previously reported, the Season 10 Premiere of My 600-Lb. Life aired this week. The first episode of the new season tells the story of Nathan Prater. Weighing in at 607 pounds, Nathan Prater relies on his wife Amber for just about everything. Wanting to get to a place where his wife is no longer his caretaker and desperate to finally have some intimacy with the woman he married, Nathan reaches out to Dr. Now for help.
Nathan Prater comes off as a very sweet and determined man who is ready to get his life back. He, however, really struggles with continuing to lose weight after having the surgery. Nathan reveals that he had a rough time with the liquid diet and ended up going against what his body wanted and needed physically to cheat on the diet a few times.
As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that Nathan is NOT the only one to blame for the morbid obesity in his household. Dr. Now notes that his wife might be a bigger contributor than they both realize. So, they turn to therapy for help. Nathan Prater also hires a personal trainer as he continues to work to drop the pounds.
The episode ends with Nathan Prater making pretty good progress with his weight loss. His wife Amber had also taken some baby steps. Though, she hadn’t had her surgery yet as she had to meet another weight goal. Moreover, she was hit with the devastating news that her surgery would not be as simple as Dr. Now had hoped.
Where Is Nathan Prater Now? Fans Want An Update
The first thing people do after watching an episode of My 600-Lb. Life is run to Google and social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. They do a search for the cast members so they can see where they are now compared to where they were when the episode aired. Is there an update on how Nathan Prater is doing since the episode aired? Has he continued to make weight loss progress? Where is he now?
On October 23, Amber Prater tagged her husband Nathan in a Facebook post. The post discussed a fun-filled family day that included a whole lot of walking for the couple. Amber explained they attended a Hot Pepper Festival. She noted her husband Nathan was “walking his heart out” all day.
After enjoying the festival, the couple also hit a few grocery stores which involved more walking. The post also included a photo of Nathan. He was visible in the background holding a sign. Nathan Prater looked to have a big smile on his face and he appeared to have slimmed down a lot since the episode aired!
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a recent update to tell us how Amber Prater is or where she is now. But, she did post a selfie back in July. She had a huge smile on her face and she was clearly working on some great things.
