Olivia Jade Has An Emotional Break Down With Press After ‘DWTS’ Episode
Olivia Jade is only 22, but she’s definitely had a rough time over the past few years. After her parents plead guilty to their role in the 2018 college admissions scandal, life has never been the same. But now, she finding a reason to smile during her time on Dancing With The Stars.
During this week’s episode, Olivia’s sister Bella came to watch her compete. Bella admitted on the show this is the happiest she’s seen Olivia Jade in quite some time.
ET recently got the opportunity to sit down with the young influencer and talk about what a difference DWTS has made for her.
Olivia Jade has an emotional breakdown while doing press interviews following DWTS
The interview went well, but Olivia Jade had a bit of an emotional time getting through.
“I feel like it kind of makes me emotional in a weird way just because… I’m not gonna cry,” the 22-year-old told the publication. “I think it’s like a sense of, like, I walk outside in the world the last few years, and I have a lot of, like, an overwhelming amount of guilt and shame.”
Olivia Jade then began to cry. Her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy comforted her.
“Thank you, thank you, sorry, guys, I don’t know why I just cried,” she said after composing herself. “I’m fine, but I think what I was trying to get out was that I have the last few years just been, like, feeling a little bit shameful, so it’s really like having a new sense of confidence, obviously comes a lot from Val and being in the show, and I’m just really grateful.”
Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy continue to wow the judges and audience members alike. Many weren’t sure just how far she would go in the competition, but she’s winning new fans left and right.
They earned a 35/40 for their Coco-themed routine on Villains Night and another 35/40 for their Lion King routine on Heroes Night. The pair consistently score well and are among the top contenders expected to win the Mirrorball Trophy this year.
The young influencer continues to perform well, regardless of what haters think
Some fans thought Olivia Jade may have a secret agreement with ABC. They believed that she had an arrangement to stay on the show, at least through the first three rounds of elimination.
However, as time goes on, this seems less and less likely. It’s clear that Olivia Jade is putting time and effort into her routines and the judges are scoring her accordingly.
Due to the college admissions scandal, Olivia Jade is this year’s “controversial contestant.” But it appears she’s really changing hearts and minds during her run on the show.
Since Bella made a recent appearance, many fans wonder if Olivia Jade’s parents will come to the show too. Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are still pretty controversial names.
