WWE Extreme Rules: 5 Must-See Moments

Roman Reigns victorious, controversy ensues
In recent weeks, Roman Reigns has been forced to focus on the returning Brock Lesnar. With Paul Heyman by his side, Reigns and the Bloodline have been looking over their shoulder at the Beast. With Lesnar back on WWE Smackdown, that hasn’t stopped Finn Balor from staking his claim. Heading into Extreme Rules, Balor tapped into his alter ego in The Demon to make a difference. Both men gave it their all in an Extreme Rules match, including the use of chairs, tables, and kendo sticks. In the end, Balor fell off the top turnbuckle after a rope malfunction allowing Reigns to hit a spear for the win.

Sasha Banks returns

The Boss returns, spoils Lynch vs Belair
Becky Lynch defeated Bianca Belair after making her surprise return at WWE Summerslam last month. Belair was given a rematch and the stage was set at WWE Extreme Rules in front of a hot crowd in Colombus, Ohio. As the match came to a close, Sasha Banks made her return and attacked both women, causing a DQ in the process.

The Queen defends her crown
Alexa Bliss has been playing mind games with Charlotte Flair in recent weeks on Monday Night Raw. With her doll Lilly by her side, Bliss has gotten into the head of the Queen prior to their showdown at Extreme Rules. Bliss used her psychological advantage over the champion, but Charlotte was able to his the Queen’s Boot and National Selection for the win. After the match, Charlotte ripped Lilly to shreds causing Bliss to suffer a meltdown in the ring.

Triple Threat showcase
It was just last month when Damian Priest defeated Sheamus to become the new WWE United States Champion. Since then, both men have been at each other’s throats on WWE Raw, but they haven’t been alone. Jeff Hardy found his way in the mix and was entered into a Triple Threat match at WWE Extreme Rules. The match showcased all three men, but Priest was able to roll up Hardy for the win.

The New Day stands tall
In a match announced just before the start of the show, The New Day took on Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, and Omos. Big E. was able to ride his momentum just a week after winning the WWE Title as the New Day got the win with Big E pinning Lashley.
