Michael Allio Pays Tribute To Late Wife On Anniversary
Bachelor Nation met Michael Allio when he decided to pursue Katie Thurston on The Bachelorette. He instantly became a fan favorite for many reasons. He is a widower who lost his wife tragically to cancer. Michael is now a single dad and ready to fall in love again. While he’s ready to let someone into his heart, he still has love for his departed wife which will never be forgotten. Yesterday, on their anniversary, he paid a lovely tribute to her on social media.
Michael Allio pays tribute to late wife
Michael Allio went to Instagram to pay tribute to his late wife on their wedding anniversary. He’s made it no secret that is love for her is neverending and will always be a part of them. He’s ready to fall in love again but also carry her spirit with him and for his son, James.
Their wedding anniversary was yesterday and he shared a wedding photo of them. Both look happy and lost in the moment. His caption was a perfect tribute to the wonderful woman she must have been.
Michael said, “Happy Anniversary darling. I miss you so much that I’m actually at a loss for words, imagine that. Keep smiling down on us as you always have and I’ll keep trying my hardest to make you proud.” He continued saying that so much has changed but his love for her remains the same.
Michael said, “I will continue to carry you with me… on a journey that was meant to be ours. And while your body is not near me… your spirit remains alive in our hearts.” He went on, “I love you to the moon and back pumpkin. Thanks for all the love, laughter, and memories that I’ll soon never forget. ❤”
He concluded the touching post with hashtags about love after loss, cancer sucks, and hope.

Time with Katie
Michael was a fan favorite for Kate Thurston. However, he decided to leave just before hometown dates to be with his son. He said his feelings for Katie were strong and it appeared multiple times he was not over her. With that said, he feels he made the right decision to leave and be with James.
Fans are wishing Michael would become the next lead on The Bachelor. However, many wonder if he could leave James again. So far, signs are pointing towards Greg Grippo taking the leading role. That’s definitely just speculation and not set in stone.
