‘LPBW:’ Jeremy Roloff’s Racist & Homophobic Comments Surface
Former Little People, Big World (LPBW) star Jeremy Roloff is under fire for some comments he made when he was younger. A clip from the family’s show resurfaced, revealing that he was talking back to his parents. He also told his mom Amy Roloff to get back into the kitchen.
Now, more disturbing statements from Jeremy have resurfaced. On Jeremy’s old MySpace page, he said some pretty inappropriate things.
Screen Rant reports that Jeremy’s problematic comments were first reported by The National Inquirer. The news outlet found that Jeremy’s MySpace page was filled with “dozens” of inappropriate comments.
Screen Rant notes, “In the period of time when Jeremy was between 15- and 17-years-old, his MySpace page contained numerous examples of him freely using the N-word, as well as gay slurs and derogatory comments about Latinos.”
In addition, he bragged about drinking alcohol on his MySpace page. At the time, he was only 15 to 17 years old, so he was well-underaged.
It’s worth noting that MySpace is a very public space to share these statements. Plus, his family has been on TV for years. So, it’s not as if these comments weren’t going to be noticed by anyone.
Today, Jeremy is married to Audrey Roloff and has two kids and one more on the way. It’s unclear whether his values have changed since he was a teen. Nonetheless, fans have a lot to say about Jeremy’s problematic past.
LPBW fans react to Jeremy Roloff’s comments.
On Reddit, one LPBW fan shared about Jeremy’s homophobic and racist comments, sparking a conversation. They point out that he was saying these things online while the show was airing. So, since his family was definitely in the public eye when this happened, anyone could have seen these comments.
Others point out that Jeremy still has problematic beliefs. One writes, “Not surprising. It’s not ok now and wasn’t ok then… Hopefully Jeremy has grown up a lot since then and it’s all just stupid, ignorant teenage behavior – but I’m sure he’s still racist and homophobic in his conservative views.”
Another user adds a specific example of Jeremy’s beliefs today, writing, “He DOES still use that language. A year or two ago he was on IG talking about Japanese maple trees except he didn’t say ‘Japanese.'”
This was while he was on the show! He was on tv and saying these things on myspace??
