A new episode of Chrisley Confessions dropped yesterday featuring Todd, Chase, and Julie Chrisley. The family spent some time talking about Chase and his sobriety. Turns out, Chase Chrisley is eight months sober. Eight months from what? Well, Chase clarified this applies to ALL controlled substances. But, he mostly had an issue with marijuana and alcohol.

Todd chimed in to remind his listeners his podcast is more than just discussing his family. He also wants to help anyone listening he might be struggling with similar problems. So, he hoped to dig a little deeper into Chase’s struggles with drugs and alcohol on the off chance that it helps someone listening.

Todd and Julie don’t drink or do drugs, why did Chase Chrisley?

Todd Chrisley kicks off the conversation by revealing that neither himself nor Julie has an issue with alcohol or drugs. It was never something they explored. So, he wondered how Chase and some of his siblings could turn to alcohol and drugs such as marijuana when their parents didn’t share these inhibitions. Chase Chrisley was quick to note that he could only speak for himself and his experience.

Todd’s son recalls being pretty young when he went into a pretty big business situation. Drinking and controlled substances are “active” in the work environment. Likewise, he agreed the party scene is just huge these days.

As the two dug deeper, Chase admitted that he had some demons and personal issues he was trying to escape with drugs and alcohol. Now that he has a clear head being eight months sober… He realizes he was not escaping his problems. Instead, he was just amplifying them. Chase also admitted that alcohol has had a huge part in why so many of his relationships haven’t worked out.

He has a clear head and he’s a homeowner

While talking about what his life looked like now, Chase revealed he was a homeowner now. This was in addition to celebrating being eight months sober. He acknowledged briefly that this means he would have all of the usual problems that come with being a homeowner.

Todd and Julie Chrisley briefly touched on how they reached a point where they had to cut Chase off financially so he would stop partying. Todd added he knew it was difficult for his wife Julie as she felt stuck in the middle.

Chase Chrisley admits that he doesn’t miss partying or doing controlled substances. He claims he’s done with that life. He also claims he will own what he’s done in his past because he refuses to let anyone who has partied with him try to extort him or his family for money. Turns out, this is something that has happened to him on more than a few occasions. His daddy, however, refuses to allow him to buckle under blackmail.

  1. I am so proud of Chase Chrisley for admitted he had drugs problem and that include alcohol which is form of drugs. Chase not only admitted it he got help he needs to overcome his drugs problems.

  2. Oh gosh, I am heart broken for Chase. So glad he got the help he needed. Stay strong Chase and don’t forget “There’s someone up above”!

  3. I’m glad he is over his addictions but while I’m retired & skipping meds to make ends meet, I find it hard to have any sympathy for those little rich kids. I love Faye & Julie but no feeling for the rest. They wouldn’t survive a week in my retired world.

  4. Chase, I’m So Proud Of You For Making The Right Decision. I Know It’s Not A Easy Thing To Do, I’ve Also Have Done That Scene Im 50 Years Old And Have Not Touched A Drug In 23 Years!! Keep Up The Great Work Buddy And Congratulations On The New House 🏠

  5. Congrats Chase for leaving the drug and alcohol scene. I was there for many years. I too got help and left that life behind. Just keep looking up and looking forward, never look back. Sorry to hear about Emmy, but if not her, there is definitely someone out there for you! Love watching “Chrisley Knows Best” and “Growing Up Chrisley”

  6. Marijuana helps thousands of people and I absolutely cannot stand when it is thrown into this category. Meanwhile, “just quitting” alcohol is NOT sobriety! Recovery and all the work that entails is sobriety. I have no pity for this little rich kids.

  7. He’s young, I’m happy he’s taking steps to nip it in the bud now. Nothing attractive about 30, 40, and 50-somethings who are still immaturely into the party scene! Watching the show you’d never know he was drinking too much, which to me proves its pretty scripted entertainment. However, I’m not surprised he went down this path, seems par for the course with most kids of wealthy parents. Though I do think Todd and Julie are good parents.

  8. If he is clinically an addict, then it is genetic. However, if he is an environmental addict then it is the people around him that caused the substance abuse. We know that Kyle is an addict . Todd helped Chase’s addiction because Chase was always picked on by Todd. Todd is such a liar and treats all of his family horribly. Todd is a fraud and a baby. I find his behavior so annoying!! and I find that he is a patsy. I don’t watch the show to be interested in Todd. I watch it for Julie, Chase, and Savanna. I am glad Chase is taking his life seriously. And what makes me go NUTS is that Todd unabashedly, prefers Savanna and he tells everyone. I love Chase’s relationship with Nanny. She is very kind to Chase and in kind he is very good for her

  9. I am very proud of Chase ; I think his home life wasnt a peach ! He is a good -intelligent young man and I think his new lease on life will be great ! Be good to yourself Chase and good luck on the new house!

  10. Spoiled kids that’s what usually happens where is the other boy by the first wife they should all go to jail look how they lived moving here and there spending money like it grows on trees
