TLC’s New Series ‘So Freakin Cheap’ Trailer Drops, Air Date Confirmed
So Freakin Cheap has an air date of Monday, June 28 at 10 PM on TLC. The premise of the show is that it “takes penny-pinching to the extreme,” according to E!Online. Shockingly, this goes beyond normal day-to-day shopping. Keep reading to find out more about the families from So Freakin Cheap.
TLC’s So Freakin Cheap trailer releases days ahead of air date
With So Freakin Cheap having an air date right around the corner, TLC has already released a trailer for the new series on their social media.
The first So Freakin Cheap family featured in the trailer is the Trans. According to E!Online the Trans live in an upscale neighborhood in Orlando, Florida.Furthermore, they acknowledge that they are “crazy cheap Asians.” Rosanna explains on the trailer that it costs 12 cents to us the garage door opener. So, they only open and shut their garage once a day. Then, she explains how dumpster diving is a lifestyle as she breaks out a siren to “scare the rats.”
Next, Shelley Watson explains that she is “beyond a bargain hunter.” So much so that she was able to pull off her daughter, Ashley’s wedding for 1K. Now it’s like a competition. In the trailer, she explains for her next daughter, Brittney’s wedding, she only wants to spend $750. It gets to the point where she’s explaining to her daughter that she wants to have the wedding in a chiropractor’s office. At this point, it’s too much for Brittney, so she just leaves.

Fans wish TLC would be more original
In the comment section of the trailer on TLC’s Instagram, fans point out how similar this show is to another TLC series, Extreme Cheapstakes. One follower writes, “Soo.. extreme cheapskates all over again!” In response, another follower points out, “yup just adding a little more dramatic characters.”
