Fan Gives Backhanded Praise To Amy Halterman About Baby Gage
Amy Halterman recently had her first baby, Gage. She has faced backlash over his crib before. Now, she is getting even more, but in the form of a backhanded compliment.
Gage turns six months
This all starts with Gage’s six-month post on Amy’s Instagram. Not only is it his six-month birthday, but it’s also right around Mother’s Day. Of course, this is Amy’s first time celebrating Mother’s Day after having her son. She posted a photo of her sweet baby boy laying in his crib.
“Happy 6mo baby boy. Mommy and daddy love you so much….,” she writes on the Instagram post.
The photo features a little circle that reads “6 months.”
He’s wearing an adorable star print onesie and is laying on some cute animal print sheets.
One fan took to the comments to “praise” Amy. However, it’s coming off a bit more like an insult than a compliment.
Amy’s crib is in trouble
Amy has gotten in trouble quite a few times for her usage of Gage’s crib. Of course, moms have to be careful with cribs and make sure they are clean and safe for their little baby. The first time she ever shared a photo of Gage fans freaked out.
He looked to be laying on a dirty bed with food crumbs everywhere. The bed was lacking a sheet and there were dirty pillows in the shot.
Someone even wrote: “pls make sure the baby is on clean pillows, those are dirty af.”
Amy actually revealed that that wasn’t her house and that wasn’t her bed. That hasn’t stopped fans from judging her bed choices for Gage though.
She has also gotten dragged for then having too many pillows and blankets in Gage’s crib. She says she talked to her doctor to figure out the best way to set up his crib Seasons and Spoilers says.

On her most recent post of baby Gage, someone writes “Good crib safety, Amy! 👏👏 And sweet Gage is adorable!”
While it seems like that could be a compliment, it actually sounds more like a jab at Amy and her ability to provide a safe sleeping space for her child. Amy hasn’t responded to the comment so there’s no telling how she’s handling the situation.
Of course, there were other fans commenting that really support Amy and weren’t being rude.
“Happy late mother’s day,” one fan writes.
“He’s so freaking adorable ❤️,” another person writes.
Hopefully, Amy is able to see all the supportive comments over the negative ones.
