Jenna Johnson Gets Unexpected Visitor While She And Val Are Away
Dancing With The Stars fans fell in love with the husband and wife team Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy. According to Jenna’s Instagram, she and Val went away for the weekend. And while they were gone, a very unexpected visitor arrived. Surveillance footage picked up a cougar traipsing through the couple’s yard!
Jenna Johnson spotted an uninvited guest in her backyard
“So of course the weekend we are gone, there happens to be a cougar in our backyard… like what?!?!?!” The dancer captioned a photo of the big cat from the surveillance tape. “Do I call someone? What do we do?? Ummmmm this is so scary. Keeping the dogs inside for sureeeeeee.”
You can see the cougar enter from the frame at the bottom of the screen and make its way across the grass. If you keep up with Jenna on Instagram, you know she regularly exercises out by the pool. This had to be a pretty scary tape to find!
Based on the rest of Jenna’s Instagram story, it seemed like she and Val were holding a dance workshop for young dancers. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like the cougar harmed any property or their pets. However, we agree with Jenna here. Keep the dogs put up for sure!
The couple has a long history together — they can surely handle a cougar
Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson met on the set of Dancing With The Stars in 2014. Val was already a seasoned DWTS professional while Jenna just came off her run on So You Think You Can Dance. They dated on and off from 2015 until they became an official couple in 2017. They got engaged during the summer of 2018 and married in April 2019.
Although the two love the world of competitive dancing, they also long for the day when they become parents.
“I want kids,” Jenna told Us Weekly. “I want babies. Val wants babies very badly. We definitely have spoken about it. That’s our future. That’s what we want when that’s gonna happen.”
Jenna is very close with fellow Dancing With The Stars castmates Witney Carson and Lindsay Arnold. Both women became parents over the past few months, so babies are likely hot on Jenna’s brain these days.
It’s getting to the point where if Jenna and Val want to start a family this year, Jenna will likely need to sit out Dancing With The Stars Season 30. Lindsay and Witney both missed competing on the show last year, but they were just too far in their pregnancies to make it happen.
Fans would definitely miss Jenna if she didn’t compete this year, but would totally understand. No matter what the couple decides to do this year, fans wish them well.
Now let’s just hope they can keep the wildlife out of their yard!
