‘MAFS’: Is Virginia Too Much Of A Party Girl For Erik?
On the recent episode of Married at First Sight, three couples make it down the aisle. Clara and Ryan, Briana and Vincent, and Virginia and Erik lay eyes on each other for the first time. Of the three couples, Virginia and Erik are making the most noise on Twitter. This is most likely due to the fact that Virginia spent the majority of her wedding drunk.
Nervous Wedding Jitters Call For a Drink?
It’s normal for the bride or groom to take a drink occasionally during their wedding party. Viewers couldn’t help but notice that Virginia’s drinks were more than enough. One fan tweeted, “I thought it was kinda weird she was laughing throughout the wedding ceremony-why did they have to match him with a binge drinker.”
Virginia, 26, was noticeably giggly during the entire ceremony. Some viewers speculated that it was most likely because she was nervous. Others blame it on the alcohol. Especially one viewer who tweeted, “She’s clearly got a drinking problem!” Viewers kept track of how much drinking Virginia was getting in on her big day. She has a couple drinks as she gets ready. She takes a shot before going down the aisle and guzzles wine during the reception.
Erik Is Ready For Virginia. But is Virginia Ready For Erik?
A fan tweeted, “I think ppl are being hard on Virginia. She’s 26 years old. Do I think she should have drank all that at her wedding? No lol but I don’t necessarily think that makes her any less ready for marriage. I do however think Erik might be too serious for her. Not sure it’s a good match”
This could be true. Married at First Sight is not a game to Erik. Let’s not forget, he is the show’s first divorcee. Erik, 34, addresses the six year age difference with Virginia and they both agree it’s not going to be weird. However, Erik desires a “traditional wife.” He’s hoping that Virginia will take his last name amongst other traditional expectations he has.
Virginia shares with Erik early on she loves sporting events, festivals, and concerts, and tends to go out a lot. Erik admits that he doesn’t go to clubs and bars often.”From what I’ve gathered, she might go out a lot more than I do, so that’s out my comfort zone.”
All in all, Erik is pleased with his match, telling the cameras, “She’s absolutely gorgeous.” He doesn’t seem to stop smiling when he looks at Virginia. And Virginia is glad she is “definitely attracted” to her husband and vows to be loyal, never forget his birthday, and always keep life fun.
