Amy Roloff hit the gym in the New Year. Maybe she’s working off all those scrumptious Christmas treats. After all, she probably tucked into some of her delicious seasonal fudge. And she and Chris baked Christmas cookies together. All in all, it looked like a really nice Christmas for the Little People, Big World star her as she also spent time with the grandkids.

Amy might need the gym to shed those extra few ounces of weight that Christmas brings. We reported that she and Chris baked some Christmas cookies together. Yes, she found a keeper fans agree. Who doesn’t love the sight of their man in an apron! And, who doesn’t just love all the tasty treats the season allows us to enjoy without feeling too much guilt?

Oh! Don’t forget she probably tucked into those yummy seasonal fudge packages over the season as well. In fact, she told her fans on Instagram that she didn’t plan on “counting any calories” over Christmas. Her photos of the seasonal fudge probably send droves of sweet-toothed Little People, Big World fans to her Little Kitchen. Actually, Christmas without a few sweet treats might be a very dull event. But, good times come to an end. So, it’s off to the gym for Amy Roloff.

‘New Year, New Me,’ says Amy

The grandkids came for their presents and some Grandma time and the sweet treats got eaten. So now, it’s time to turn thoughts to the New Year and shedding those extra pounds from the holiday season. Amy shared in her Instagram Stories, that now it’s time for a “New Year” and a “new healthier me.” In her photo, she revealed a room with a treadmill, a few weights, a giant ball, and more in it.

It’s not clear that the LPBW star worked out on her own property. But fans know she and Chris worked hard renovating her new home. Smart Biography talked about how her new home is a “two-story with five bedrooms and four bathrooms.” Quite old, it needed some work done on it. Perhaps Amy Roloff renovated one of those rooms and turned it into a gym. Plus her jacuzzi seems an ideal place to relax after a workout.

Working off those calories

It takes time and effort to burn off the holiday season calories. Jerseybest.com reported some alarming stats on it.  Even roasted chestnuts sound really bad when it comes to exercise. The outlet notes, “to burn off one serving of this festive treat, you would need to do 315 squats.” Imagine how much effort you need to burn off the delicious fudge and Christmas cookies that Amy Roloff enjoyed this Christmas?

If the TLC star also indulged in Christmas Pudding, at 305 calories, she needs to do “1,445 squats, 460 burpees, 578 lunges,  29  1-minute planks or jog for 29 minutes.” So, if you also feel you indulged a little bit too much, maybe follow Amy Roloff’s example and start making a “New You” in the New Year.
