‘The Undoing’ Finale Gets Famous Fans Excited Including Nicole Kidman

HBO’s The Undoing is phenomenal viewing and the limited series has an all-star cast. As the episodes passed, the series had many fans trying to guess who killed Elena Alves. It wasn’t only normal us folks that were thrilled and fascinated by the show. Several celebrities took to social media, trying to guess who committed the gruesome murder.

The Undoing on HBO Max

The Undoing follows the story of a privileged husband and wife, played by Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant and their son, Henry. They are living the good life and have everything they could possibly need. Nicole plays Grace, a psychologist. Grant, plays the role of her husband, a seemingly empathetic doctor, treating children with cancer. However, suddenly their happy life crumbles, as they find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery.

The final episode aired on November 29, finally bringing the thriller to a conclusion. It revealed the real killer in a totally shocking series of scenes. However, before it aired, a number of celebrities took to social media, trying to guess who did it.

Who killed Elena Alves?

Insecure actress Issa Rae started a Twitter thread. She wrote that The Undoing is the perfect Thanksgiving binge. Other celebs were quick to jump on her thread, giving their impressions of the thriller series. It is clear from the variety of suspicions that uncovering the real killer was a difficult task.

Kerry Washington, who recently starred in HBO’s Big Little Lies was the first to respond. She said her mom had made family members write down who they thought the killer was. She then locked the notes away until after the finale.

Another Twitter fan wrote that they believed it was the lady lawyer, Grace’s friend. Another, “I think it’s her blonde friend or her father; [Donald] Sutherland always plays the psycho.” Many other comments revealed suspicions that Grace’s father did the dirty deed. Yet another theorized that Grace herself did it. They said she was using her psychological expertise to cover the crime. The fan added, “Something along the lines of dissociative personality or losing time.”

Nicole Kidman and The Undoing

As noted by the Inquisitr, Nicole Kidman took to Instagram and posted a video. She went on to thank all her fans for their comments throughout the show. Nicole told viewers to stay tuned and “hold on tight” while watching the mind-bending finale.

On her Instagram Story, Kidman posted comments from various celebrities who had loved The Undoing. These included Caroline Radziwill, Travis Scott, Ava DuVernay, Ellie Kemper, Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner and Ashley Benson.

Kourtney Kardashian also commented and made her own post on Instagram, asking, “Who killed Elena Alves?”

Other fans and followers responded to Nicole’s post and watched her video, clocking almost 400,000 views. One fan wrote, “Cannot Wait! So. Many. Theories.” Another wrote that they had just binged all five episodes that afternoon. Saying it was so good, they wrote that they guessed it was their son from the beginning. They hoped they were wrong.
