According to the Hallmark press release, Melissa Merry (Sweeney) and Brian Bright (Blucas) are the dynamic morning show duo, on the top rated show, Today with Bright & Merry. Despite their bright smiles and on-air ease, they cannot stand each other. The minute the cameras are off, they can’t wait to get away.
Now, they are stuck being together, for great lengths of time. That is because they are headed out to Mistletoe for an entire week. That small town won the show’s Christmas contest. Melissa and Brian are taking the Today with Bright & Merry on the road. They are spending an entire week there.
But, they are not just taking the show on the road. They are participating in some of the local events. They can’t let their guard down and to reveal their mutual hatred. So, Mel and Brian have to make the best of this situation.
Pretty soon, the Mistletoe Christmas spirit starts to eat at their animosity. They even find that they have more similarities than differences. Could this newfound friendship turn into something more?
Alison Sweeney, Marc Blucas Are Hallmark Fan Favs
It is safe to say that two of the biggest Hallmark fan favs are Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas. This is not their first movie together. Back in 2016, they starred together for the first time. This was in the Hallmark movie, The Irresistible Blueberry Farm.
In a Hallmark interview for that movie, Marc said that from the beginning, he and Alison had instant chemistry. “People that like and respect each other translates onscreen.” In that movie, the two learned to swing dance. We will see if in Good Morning Christmas!, the onscreen couple will be making new moves on the dance floor!
