All about that ba..by?? Pop singer Meghan Trainor had an exciting announcement on Wednesday, October 7 . She is pregnant with her first child!
Meghan Trainor Expecting Baby With Husband
The singer made the announcement on TV and her social media, too. Appearing on the Today show, she confided the news to host Hoda Kotb. An ultrasound photo was also on Meghan Trainor’s Instagram around the same time. The ultrasound is nestled into a Christmas tree, indicating the baby is due during the holidays.
The “All About That Bass” singer has been open about her desire to start a family. A fact she noted in the sweet caption. Meghan wrote “You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!!😭🥰” before announcing that she is expecting a baby “early next year.”
Fans and celebrity friends took to the comments to congratulate the expectant singer.

The Latest The Voice UK Judge Married in 2018
Meghan tagged her husband, Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara, in the post. Us Weekly notes that her husband shared the same photo on his own Instagram. Except he added a sweet note to his wife, ““I love you @meghantrainor and I can’t wait to start a family with you.”
The couple wed in late 2018 in Los Angeles, California. Since that time, Meghan has openly spoke out about wanting kids. But she also said they weren’t rushing into parenthood.

Meghan Trainor joins a long, long line of celebrities announcing pregnancies in 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, couples were stuck at home with a lot of time on their hands. Bravo show Vanderpump Rules is having a certifiable baby boom! Days after being let go by Bravo for racially insensitive behavior, Stassi Schroeder made an announcement that she’s expecting a baby girl in January.
Her Pump Rules co-stars, Brittany Cartwright and Lala Kent both made their pregnancy announcements in September. Though they aren’t due until April, the moms-to-be know the genders already. Lala Kent is joining Stassi as a Girl Mom. Brittany and her husband, Jax Taylor, are having a baby boy.
Some celebrities were already pregnant going into the quarantine and had babies recently. Katy Perry’s daughter, Daisy, was born in late August.
Singers Ashlee Simpson, Mandy Moore and Kellis are all having babies soon. Rapper Nicki Minaj shocked fans in July by showing off her very pregnant belly. She had her daughter in September.
