Derick Dillard Becomes SUPER Involved In Israel’s Schooling, Fans Approve

Jill and Derick Dillard are considered by many to be the black sheep of the Duggar family tree. In fact, there are a lot of rumors among the Counting On fan base that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar don’t have much to do with Jill and her family. They do, however, seem to document what time they do spend together on social media.

Jill and her husband Derick Dillard shake things up.

Jill Dillard and all of her siblings were home schooled. So, she really doesn’t know much about public schooling. But, Jill decided home schooling wasn’t what she wanted for her children. So, she and Derick decided to send their son Israel to public schooling. And, fans were here for it. They loved the idea of Israel getting a better education than his mother. Fans believe public schooling is going to set up Israel for a great future.

Now, Jill Dillard recently opened up at the learning curve that comes with switching from home school to public school. After all, there is a lot she really doesn’t know about public schooling. For example, she found how long car rider lines were to be extremely shocking.

Turns out, her husband is getting SUPER involved in Israel’s schooling.

Public schooling is an experience. And, as it turns out, it is an experience for BOTH the students and the parents. The question is… How involved do YOU want to be in your kid’s schooling? Turns out, Derick Dillard is interested in being VERY involved. And, he took to Twitter to talk about it. Why? Because he never would have pictured himself in the situation he is currently in. And, he couldn’t be happier.

Derick Dillard jokingly penned on Twitter: “I never thought I’d see the day, but I’m officially a member of the PTO at my kid’s school. Does that make me a grown-up now?!”

And, how did fans feel about Derick becoming so involved?

Followers and fans of Derick and Jill Dillard have no issues with the duo sending their child to public school. In fact, many are here for it. And, they love seeing how involved Derick has become.

  • “What about Jill? Is she a member as well? Those were my best days getting involved in elementary school. But then they had to grow up.”
  • “Adulting is hard and sometimes not much fun!!! Be parenting is the MOST rewarding job ever!!”
  • “Means your an active parent who is willing to work really hard for nothing in return.”

Now, there were a few trolls responding to the tweet. But, most were just happy to see things coming together for Derick and Jill’s family.
