Quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic has not been kind to Jillian Harris. The former Bachelorette and third runner-up on Jason Mesnick’s season of The Bachelor shared crazy news Monday night. Apparently, Jillian accidentally threw out her very exquisite engagement ring.
Jillian threw out engagement ring by mistake
Entertainment Tonight shared details about Jillian’s admission from Monday night. While appearing via video chat on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!, she shared the details. Jillian had summer wedding plans. It didn’t happen and is postponed until next year. The wedding was postponed due to the coronavirus. Plus, as if that wasn’t enough, she accidentally threw out her engagement ring.
Jillian said, “We were supposed to get married this summer.” She is referring to fiance Justin Pasutto. She went on, “I had a beautiful engagement ring, but it was missing a stone, and then COVID happened, and we weren’t accepting packages inside.”
Jillian said, “So, my ring came and I signed for it, but I had all these packages, and I was going through them and it was a chaotic day.” She jokingly admitted she may or may not have consumed wine when it occurred. She continued, “But anyhow, I threw out my engagement ring.”
Jillian said it’s first world problems, so she can’t complain too much, but she did have to cancel her wedding. And, throw in the ring nightmare and it’s been rough. However, a new ring arrives soon. And, Jillian said they plan to get married next summer. The couple already share two children together.
Jillian and Justin got engaged Christmas morning in 2016.

She reflects on her Bachelor experience
Jillian has no regrets about her time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. She said, “It was an incredible experience, and we have such an amazing family now with the Bachelor franchise. Look at the relationship I have with Kaitlyn Bristowe and Ali [Fedotowsky] and Trista [Sutter] and it’s just incredible, those lifelong friendships, and we have this bond.”
And, while things didn’t work out with Jason Mesnick or her final pick, Ed Swiderski, on The Bachelorette, she went on to find love. Things worked out for Jillian. And, she has no hard feelings towards Jason. In fact, she shared she traveled to Seattle before Riley was born to decorate her nursery for Jason and Molly.
She has strong feelings about Clare Crawley being the next lead as well. Jillian said Clare is beautiful, smart and mature. She is excited to watch her journey unfold when The Bachelorette airs this fall.
