Everyone knows Colton Underwood as the Bachelor lead who jumped the fence. When the girl he wanted left he did too, despite there still being two other women. Fans also know that he is a virgin. Colton thrilled fans when he finally found love after a turbulent time in the reality television world.

Now that he’s happy with Cassie Randolph, the contestant he left for, he has released a book about his experience. His memoir is releasing at a crazy time in the world and he caught coronavirus too. He said on day 11 he felt closer to normal. In an Instagram post he said, “I am so grateful to have more of my lungs back.” He said he hoped the memoir will help take people’s mind off the virus, if only for a little while. The book released on March 31st.

Colton Underwood Didn’t Try To Hide His Feelings

Colton Underwood struggled with his emotions through his time on The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Bachelor. His book, The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV, is his tell-all.

On a question and answering session a fan asked him if he revealed any secrets from the set of The Bachelor. According to The Cheat Sheet, Colton said, “I talk through specific situations and how certain episodes were made.”

The Former Bachelor Opened Up About Mental Health

Colton Underwood shared a story about a reporter who, “felt concern about my mental health and thought it would be best for me to live my life off camera.” He ignored her warning as fans know. In the past he opened up on social media about his mental health. In a post for World Mental Health Day he said, “after my season of The Bachelor I was crippled with social anxiety. I lashed out at people I loved because I was frustrated with myself. Make sure to check on your strongest friend and family today and everyday.”

He said he wrote the book to feel like he had control of his life. Underwood gave up a lot to go on the show. Fans wanted to know if The Bachelor had some staged scenes, because there’s always been rumors. Colton said, “I’ll say this: I had to walk through doors a few times, take multiple showers and hold certain conversations for specific dates.” He went on to say, it wasn’t fake, but guided.” Fans will certainly devour this memoir in their downtime.
