‘The Young And The Restless’ Star Hunter King Has A Hilarious Reason Why She Wants Her Character To Be Pregnant
The Young and the Restless recently reunited Summer Newman with her ex-husband, Kyle Abbott. It didn’t come as a total shock to fans. It seems like the former flames couldn’t get enough of each other. They tried their best to hide their love but they couldn’t resist each other. They gave into their feelings during a recent work trip.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) just ended his marriage with Lola (Sasha Calle). Moments later, he finds himself with Summer at the Grand Phoenix Hotel. Now, some fans are wondering if Summer will end up pregnant now that she’s back with Kyle. Actress Hunter King is sharing her thoughts for her character. She revealed why she hopes Summer will get pregnant.

Y&R star reveals her funny wish for Summer Newman
In an interview with CBS Soaps In Depth, Hunter King shared her thoughts on her soap character. She really wants Summer Newman to get pregnant. But it’s not for the reason that you think. Hunter’s reason for her character to have her own baby storyline has more to do with her love of food.
“I want to be pregnant on the show!” the Young and the Restless actress told the magazine, as quoted by Inquisitr. “I want to wear the fake baby belly and then go all-out at lunch and just eat a ton. I wouldn’t have to worry about the bathing-suit scenes, so I would love to do that.”
Summer Newman is the young heart breaker of Genoa City. She’s kissed her share of men on the show. Summer is also known for her sexy sense of style. If Summer were to become pregnant, then Hunter could take a break from the bikinis, lingerie, and wrap-dresses that she often wears. She could breathe and enjoy her favorite foods.
Hunter King pitches pregnancy storyline “every three months”
The Young and the Restless star never gives up. She said she’s committed to making Summer pregnant. She even pitches her idea to the writers “every three months” as storylines progress.
“I pitch it at least every three months, but I never hear back!” she exclaimed.
It’s unlikely that her character will become pregnant anytime soon. Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) are expecting another baby. Other people in Genoa City could become pregnant as well. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is in the middle of her breast cancer storyline. But she could also find herself pregnant with her boyfriend, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), if the rumors are true.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) could also give their son a little sister or brother as their relationship takes the next level. But Hunter hopes that her character will end up with a baby sooner rather than later.
Is Hunter King leaving The Young and the Restless?
As TV Shows Ace reported, she’s been cast in a new ABC comedy called Prospect. This news has Y&R fans wondering if she will leave the soap forever. The sitcom has been described as a “comedic Western with a feminist twist,” which is a new role for the actress. Hunter exclaimed her excitement over the new project.

This is not the first time that she’s landed a new project while acting on the CBS soap. She previously played the role of Clementine on the CBS comedy Life in Pieces, as reported by Monsters & Critics. Hunter became a series regular after Season 1. The actress was able to work on both shows, because CBS owns both the comedy and the daytime soap opera. So, it was easy for her to move from one sound stage to the next.

If ABC picks up a full season of Prospect, it will be harder for Hunter to stay on Y&R. If Hunter King leaves The Young and the Restless, then her wish for her character may not come true.
