There have been questions about Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s financial situation for some time. They haven’t been on Counting On since Derick’s transphobic tweets, and now it looks like the financial situation is catching up on them. In recent Instagram comments, Dillard made a note of money problems.
Cheat Sheet makes a note that the comments weren’t 100% clear, but it certainly looks like he’s admitted that the couple is low on money. It wouldn’t help that the money from the show was allegedly controlled by Jim Bob Duggar, the patriarch of the family. Derick doesn’t seem to like that, but there’s not much that he can do.
Jim Bob Duggar Controls Everything
According to Derick, Jim Bob has controlled the family money gained from Counting On. Nobody else has come forward to confirm this, but Derick isn’t too happy with the money that he’s gained.
That’s not all. According to Jill’s husband, the two aren’t welcome all that much in the Duggar family home. They need to arrange with Jim Bob if they want to see the family. Everything is on the Duggar patriarch’s terms. That certainly explains why they’re never seen all that much at the family events, and why they were cut from Mary Duggar’s funeral.
Fans have wondered for some time if there’s a problem within the family. While Jinger, Jessa, and others share their vacations together or are at family events, Jill never is. Very few of her siblings comment on her Instagram posts, either. Anna Duggar is the most prevalent, suggesting that Jill and her parents aren’t quite seeing eye to eye.
A Suggestion of Money Problems?
Thought that was all? Recently, Derick has also turned his attention to accusing TLC of pressuring him and his wife to remain on the show. This was before the tweets, with him suggesting that the network pressured him and “an abuse victim” to continue filming.
Derick has also demanded apologies from fans after everything involving the GoFundMe campaigns. Fans accused the couple of scamming fans for money, but the father-of-two has now shared the money was necessary since he and his wife didn’t get anything from Counting On thanks to Jim Bob. According to InTouch Weekly, Dillard suggested within the Instagram comment that because of that lack of money, the two now have no money.
He’s not the only member of the high-profile family who is shedding a light on the situation within the family. Amy Duggar King offered Derick some support in exposing the “very dark, very gray areas.”
