‘I Am Jazz’: Ahead Of Season 6, Jazz Shares Annual Throwbacks Over The Last Ten Years
I Am Jazz returns to TLC on January 28, 2020. The Season 6 preview dropped and we get an idea of her a new phase of her transgender journey. We mentioned what she’s been up to since the last season. But, Jazz started sharing throwback pics spanning the last ten years of her life. They remind us how her life changed over the years.
I Am Jazz – College plans, and her ex – Ahmir Steward
TV Shows Ace reported that the upcoming season of the show might cover Jazz and her college decisions. We noted that “she decided to defer going to Harvard for a while.” And it seemed that this related to her mental health. When we last saw her on the show, Jazz seemed upbeat about her new future. And, we also noted that despite not going off to Harvard, she still put in plenty of time working on transgender awareness.
With the preview dropping ahead of Christmas for the new season, we know we’ll see more about college decisions. And, Cheatsheet noted we hear more about her boyfriend Ahmir. It never worked out for them. But we also see that Jazz faced yet more surgery. Remember in Season 5, she needed emergency surgery on her bottom half? This time, she goes through more of that. And Ahmir meets with her to support her. But, he tries to pressure her into dating again.
With another surgery and a big decision on the horizon, Jazz has A LOT on her plate in the new season of #IAmJazz.

Jazz looks back down the years
On her Instagram, over the past week, Jazz Jennings shared photos that go back to 2010. We see her as a young girl with a pixie-type figure. In 2011, she shared a pic showing how she filled out and wore her hair in long curls. Her brother Sander said, “This was one of the best days of my life! đ.” 2011 brought us the I Am Jazz star posing with her sister on her birthday. She looks really small next to her sibling.
The 2013 photo showed Jazz at Christmas. There, she wore a gold-colored dress and started looking like a growing teen. By 2014, the teenage siblings all gathered on the beach. Jennings talked about how only siblings really love each other in a very special way. Fans know she’s close to all her family.

The 2015 throwback picture features the Jennings that fans know well. Pretty, she’s lying on the bed. In her caption, she mentions why it’s a special picture. She noted that was that year I Am Jazz premiered. She still feels “grateful” it gave her an opportunity to help other people with their gender and sexuality.
More pics should follow, as she mentions the throwback series is for a full decade. Actually, fans find her old pics interesting. For them, the throwback photos bring us a journey of Jazz that we don’t always see fully explored in the show.
