Yesterday the sad news came out that Grandma Mary Duggar had passed away. The fans of Counting On wondered what happened because it was a shock. It turns out that it doesn’t sound like she was sick or anything. The family has shared a bit more since then.

Jill Duggar Dillard went to her Instagram and shared a post about her Grandma. You can tell that she was surprised by this loss. Here is what she shared.

Jill shared that her Grandma died suddenly. This does make it sound like they didn’t know she was sick and that this was unexpected. Jill also talked about how she passed away before her body bothered her too much. This makes it seem like Grandma Mary Duggar was still in pretty great shape physically.

So far, Jessa Duggar Seewald hasn’t shared on her Instagram. She is very busy with a new baby, though. Jinger Duggar Vuolo shared a very sweet post with her Grandma. You can tell it has been hard on her, but she didn’t share what happened to her grandma.

Amy Duggar King also made a post. She explains that her grandma was her best friend. Sadly, Grandma Mary Duggar passed away before she got the chance to meet Amy’s son she is pregnant with now.

I am totally shocked that she is gone but we all know where she’s at and she is in the good place but that doesn’t help our Broken Heart and how much she will be missed by her family I’m so sorry for your losses I love watching her on your guys’s show she was awesome

Definitely surprised when I read this sad news. She was blessed to have such a loving family and all the Duggars are likewise blessed to have had such a Christian role model. Prayers for family and friends as you face this most difficult time.

I was very sad to hear of the loss of Grandma Duggar. Fortunately she believed in God and in his hands. She was surrounded by a large loving family during her life and left many values behind for her family to cherish. I find solace in knowing when a loved one passes that they are in the Arms of the Lord… The ones left behind have many Treasured Memories to keep with them the remainder of their lives!!!
