Can you imagine Andy Cohen hosting his very own CNN show?

If you watch CNN, you probably heard the news that popular anchor Chris Cuomo is done. The news network let Cuomo go after it came out that he unethically helped his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, with his sexual misconduct allegations.

According to CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen expressed interest in taking Chris Cuomo’s former spot.

Andy Cohen definitely has TV experience — but could he make it on CNN?

Cooper appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert recently where the subject came up.

“The first call I got after I got the call about Chris Cuomo was Andy Cohen, like, ‘Do you think I could get that show?”’ the 54-year-old said. “I was, like, ‘Andy, you’ve got enough real estate in television.’”

“Andy believes he feels he is fully qualified to host a presidential debate because he hosts the ‘Housewives’ reunions,” Cooper continued.

If you’d like to watch the full interview and see how Anderson Cooper found out about CNN’s decision to fire Chris Cuomo, you can watch that here:

You might not see Andy Cohen hosting his very own CNN show anytime soon, but you can still catch him on your TV screens. He and Anderson Cooper will host “New Year’s Eve Live” together on CNN. Tune in at 8 PM eastern time on December 31 to watch.

Is the long-time executive producer out at Bravo?

Anderson Cooper could be just poking fun at his friend here. But there are some rumors circulating regarding Andy Cohen’s future with Bravo. Could his time be coming to an end soon? If this is true, it only makes sense he would look for new gigs.

There’s actually an online poll calling for Andy Cohen’s removal at the network.

“Andy Cohen has been the face of Bravo for well over a decade. Lately, the host of ‘The Real Housewives‘ reunions and ‘Watch What Happens: Live‘ is becoming toxic to watch,” the online petition on Change.org reads. “He displays narcissistic, pompous, and rude behavior on reunion episodes, and has come under fire for allegations of favoritism, racism, and sexism.”

Needless to say, it’s never a good look when fans create online petitions to call for your firing. However, other fans feel that Watch What Happens: Live still has a lot of content to offer. Many fans expressed interest in the story regarding Martha Stewart’s dating life.

CNN just rid itself of one problematic anchor, so it’s unlikely they will hire another with a reputation like the one Andy Cohen has. But anything is possible. Would you watch his CNN show? Let us know what you think in the comments.
