Sources Say Anna Duggar Stands By Her Man
Fans and critics have been waiting for Anna Duggar to issue a statement on her husband Josh’s conviction. While many other members of the family have spoken out, she’s kept quiet. Fortunately, there’s now more insight into what’s happening behind closed doors at the family’s home.
As you may know, Josh was arrested in the spring. His trial wrapped up in early December and he was convicted. He was found guilty on two counts, one for receiving child pornography and one for possessing it. Sentencing will happen within the next four months, and he’s facing up to 20 years behind bars and up to $250,000 in fines on each count.
After Josh was arrested, several members of the Duggar family issued statements. But Anna never did. In the time between his arrest and the trial, sources came out and said Anna thought her husband was innocent and that she was standing by his side.
During the trial, Anna was in court with her husband each day. Every morning, they walked into the courthouse hand in hand. It sounds like Anna heard the descriptions of some of the disgusting content found on Josh’s computer, but she may have ducked out of the room before seeing it. Nonetheless, after being present for the trial and hearing the guilty verdict, she is still struggling to accept Josh’s fate, it seems.
Is Anna Duggar unhappy with the rest of the family?
A source spoke with InTouch and revealed what’s going on with the Duggar family now. The family is reportedly “torn apart” by everything that has happened.
The source said, “Anna is still speaking to [Jim Bob Duggar] and [Michelle Duggar], but a lot of the siblings have distanced themselves. She was upset that some family members decided to speak out against Josh. That broke her heart.”
Then, the source talked about the rest of the family’s statements and the impact they’ve had on Anna. The source said, “[Jill Dillard (née Duggar)] and her husband [Derick Dillard] are happy that justice was served. [Jinger Duggar Vuolo] called Josh a hypocrite and said that [she was] praying for his soul. Some of the relationships may be salvageable, but Anna says that’s only because of her faith and the power of forgiveness.”
