Once again, Jim Bob Duggar is being put on blast by fans and critics. They wish he would stay quiet during this time and focus on his family. As you may know, last week, Jim Bob’s son Josh Duggar was found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography.
Just weeks before Josh’s trial began, Jim Bob announced his run for the Arkansas State Senate. This came as a shock, given what was going on with the Duggars at that time. There have been multiple times when fans and critics expected him to back out. Nothing, not even his son’s conviction of his disgusting crimes, has made him drop out.
Now, Jim Bob is being ridiculed online for his recent activity just days after his son’s conviction.

After Josh’s conviction, Jim Bob has been tweeting and posting on his campaign social media pages. In one tweet, just hours after Josh was taken into custody, Jim Bob revealed he had completed his Ballotpedia page.
Then, Jim Bob issued a statement on his son’s actions from his campaign pages. He wrote, “As a father, I am heartbroken over the entire situation regarding my son, all who have been affected by it in any way, and those who have been harmed through CSAM.”
Then, he continued, “As an American, I respect our legal system and am thankful for those who serve in it. As a Christian, I put all of my trust in Christ in both the joyful and difficult moments of life.”
Finally, the father to 19 added, “As your state senator, I promise to remain an unwavering conservative voice representing our great community in Little Rock. Thank you for your prayers and support.”
After sharing his statement online, Jim Bob was trashed by fans and critics. Some called him “gross,” while another asked him to “please stop talking.” Yet another chimed in, writing, “You are a rude, terrible person.”
Many are calling on Jim Bob to drop out of the State Senate race and focus on his family. Now, a petition to take him off the ballot is circulating.
