Jason Duggar Chooses A Side After Brother Josh’s Conviction
Is Jason Duggar showing fans which side he’s on after his brother Josh’s conviction? It looks that way. In a new social media post, Jason expressed his feelings about the situation. Stick around for all of the details.
On Thursday, Josh was found guilty of receiving and possessing disturbing child pornography. The former 19 Kids & Counting star is facing decades behind bars, as well as up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. He must wait four months before sentencing, so in the meantime, he’s at the Washington County Correctional Facility. He’s currently in solitary confinement.
Since he was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon, several family members have already issued statements on the guilty verdict. However, fans and critics are still watching closely to see who else decides to speak out.
So far, Jill and Derick Dillard, Jessa and Ben Seewald, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have all posted their statements online.
Though he hasn’t made his own statement yet, Jason appears to be choosing sides.
Who is Jason Duggar siding with?
Just a few hours after Jinger and Jeremy issued their statements online, Jason reposted Jeremy’s photo on his own Instagram stories. In addition to sharing the post on his stories, Jason added a comment of his own. He wrote, “Well said,” and tagged his brother-in-law.
Because several other Duggars have issued statements on Josh’s guilty verdict, Jason had several to choose from to repost. His decision to choose Jinger and Jeremy’s statement over his parents’ or anyone else’s seems to show who he’s siding with in this situation.
This could be a sign that Jason doesn’t agree with his parents’ statement or their reaction to Josh’s guilty verdict. Maybe he’s stepping away from some of his parents’ beliefs. It’s believed that some of the Duggar kids learned the truth about Josh’s molestation scandal during his trial. So, this could have prompted him to side with Jinger and Jeremy over his parents.
Of course, there’s no way to know the true reason he chose to repost Jinger and Jeremy’s statement. It’s purely speculation at this point.
