Josie Bates Breaks Silence About Baby No. 3 Rumors
Bringing Up Bates star Josie Bates Balka is responding to the pregnancy questions she’s been receiving from fans. Everyone is wondering when she and her husband, Kelton Balka, will add another little one to their family. Now, Josie has answered fans’ questions and revealed what her plans are for baby number three.
In case you don’t know, Josie and Kelton got married in October 2018. Then, in July 2019, their daughter, Willow, was born. Their second daughter, Hazel, was born in June 2021. Sadly, in between Willow and Hazel, Josie had a miscarriage. She was open about this on social media and shared her feelings with fans.
In the Bates family, there are always new babies on the way. Josie is one of 19 children, and many of her siblings have large families themselves. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she was going to have more kids in the future. Fans are thinking it could happen soon.
Apparently, some Bates fans thought they saw a baby bump in some of Josie’s recent photos. However, it’s worth noting that she just had her second baby about six months ago. Now, Josie wants to let fans know what’s really going on with her growing family.

On her Instagram stories on Wednesday, Josie decided to set the record straight. During an Instagram Q&A session, a fan asked about “baby #3.” In response, Josie shut down the rumors. She said, “It’s gonna be awhile. So for all y’all asking if I am pregnant already, I am not. And if you think you see a baby bump, you don’t. It’s just a food baby.”
Josie didn’t offer any additional information about the future of her family. But based on what she shares online, she seems to be enjoying the two little girls she has now. Maybe she wants her kids to be further apart in age going forward, or maybe there’s another reason she and Kelton are waiting. For now, the family of four is soaking up all kinds of quality time together. She posts lots of cute photos of the outings they enjoy together, and fans love to see them.
