Anna Duggar ‘Devastated’ By Verdict In Husband Josh’s Child Porn Case
How is Anna Duggar feeling following her husband Josh’s verdict? After a long couple of weeks in court, Josh was convicted on Thursday, December 9. The jury unanimously reached a guilty verdict on both counts, receiving and possessing child pornography. He was immediately taken into custody and will wait for his sentencing, which will come in about four months. He’s facing up to 20 years behind bars, plus up to $250,000 in fines per count.
Though Anna is not speaking out herself, sources have recently shared what’s going on with the Duggar family now.
Anna Duggar reportedly feels ‘devastated.’
A source revealed to InTouch that “Anna is completely devastated. Her family has been torn apart, but she knows it’s not just her family that’s been hurt. She’s trying to think about and pray for the innocent victims.”
When Anna left the courthouse today, she seemed to be in a hurry. She, along with the rest of the Duggar family, got into a large SUV and drove off shortly after the guilty verdict was declared.
Might she issue a statement?
At this point, we haven’t seen a formal statement from Anna regarding her husband’s conviction. When he was arrested, she didn’t share anything online about it. She was silent on social media from the time he was arrested until she gave birth to her seventh child. Then, after announcing the baby’s birth a few weeks later, she went silent again.
But now that Josh is ending up behind bars, it’s possible that Anna will say something more formal. Regardless of what is happening, there are many changes ahead for Anna and the seven kids.
After Josh was found guilty on Thursday, several family members have made statements. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar published a statement on their family’s blog. Jill and Derick Dillard did the same, emphasizing that they are keeping Anna and the seven kids in their thoughts during this time.
It’s assumed that other members of the family will soon issue statements, but we don’t know if Anna will be one of them. Fans and critics will continue to be on the lookout.
