Fans Demand These ‘Survivor’ Winners Come Back For More…

Right before the pandemic we’ve all come to know and hate, we had the long-awaited Survivor winners season. Winners At War. Twenty of the show’s greatest players competing for the right to say they’re the winner of winners (and for a million bucks, of course). Several of the returning winners were long requested returnees to the show. Like Yul, from Cook Islands, or Denise from Philippines. Still, there are more than a few winners in Survivor’s history who have never returned to the show, despite widespread fan demand for their return. We’ll be talking about some of the most requested today

Vecepia Towery

Winner of Season 4, Survivor: Marquesas. Vecepia is the earliest winner in the show’s history to never have made a return appearance (The winners of Seasons 1-3 have all come back). She played a quiet game, more focused on avoiding targets and maintaining relationships. This has led several, including Jeff Probst himself, to declare Season 4 a “boring season”. In Jeff’s opinion it was nearly the worst season of the show. Whether or not you agree with that is all personal preference, but she at least deserves a chance to come back and prove what she’s got.

Jud “Fabio” Birza

Winner of Season 21, Survivor: Nicaragua. Fabio is one of the youngest winners in the history of the show. He won over runner-up Chase primarily due to having burned less bridges with the players on the jury. It’s unknown why he’s never returned, or if he was contacted to be on Winners At War at all. But there are certainly a number of Fabio fans out there who’d like to see him make a return to the show.

Brian Heidik

Winner of Season 5, Survivor: Thailand. This is another season considered fairly boring by long time fans of the show. Also considered Jeff Probst’s least favorite season of all time. Brian seemed to be one of the only players doing any kind of strategizing at all. This led him to make it to the end easily. And really only won because runner-up Clay was even less popular with the jury than he was. Jeff’s dislike of the season, combined with Brian’s apparent arrest in 2006 after apparently shooting a dog with a bow and arrow, are most likely what have prevented Brian from ever having been invited to return. Still there are fans out there who would like to see his devious ways come up against some of the newer strategies in the show.

Earl Cole

Winner of Season 14, Survivor: Fiji. Without a doubt this is one of the most popular winners to never make a return to the show. Earl was well liked by both his fellow tribemates and the fans. This led to a unanimous victory in his tribal council, and a lot of requests in the 14 years since the season aired to see him play again. He was invited to play in Winners At War but ultimately declined to be with his pregnant wife. But if there’s an interest in him coming back from both production and Earl himself, then hopefully that means we’ll see him play again soon.

Survivor’s far from a young show but it’s far from over either. We haven’t even touched on all of the Survivor winners who’ve never made their return to the ultimate game. But surely we’ll see a few of them sooner rather than later.

One Comment

  1. I have watched every episode of Survivor, however, I am not a fan of having previous winners or players COME BACK.
Spending one season watching them is enough.
