Artem Chigvintsev Fell In Love ‘At First Sight’ With Nikki Bella
Many Dancing With The Stars pros forge strong bonds with their celebrity partners. But not all of them fall head over heels for them. Artem Chigvintsev definitely had feelings for Nikki Bella upon their first meeting. In fact, the professional dancer admits that it was love at first sight.

In case you hadn’t heard, the Bellas Podcast is back and airing new episodes. Nikki and Brie Bella recently put out a new episode just after Thanksgiving. Artem Chigvintsev joined them as their guest. Nikki asked her fiance about his favorite memories of their relationship and he had a very sweet answer.
“Favorite memory of us, well obviously I know I mean Nicole might feel a little different, but to me, just the meeting, I think that was the one thing that tripped me out. I know it’s very controversial, but I think meeting Nicole for the first time,” Artem replied. The couple met while filming Season 25 in 2017.
“I called the executive producer [of DWTS] right after our first meet. I said that I think I’m like in love. When you meet the certain person that you don’t really understand how you feel yet, you have this overwhelming a lot of feelings. That was the time when it hit me.”
Of course, Nikki previously said she did not have feelings for Artem at all when they first met. She was engaged to wrestler John Cena at the time and definitely had a hard time adjusting to Artem’s harsh teaching style.
However, the pair stayed friends after their time on the show ended. But they wouldn’t begin their relationship until around eight months after John and Nikki split up.
The couple still want to get married, but they have a lot on their plates at the moment
Artem proposed to Nikki in January 2020. Shortly after, she announced her pregnancy. The Total Bellas star gave birth to their son Matteo that summer. The couple are still discussing wedding plans, but there are many reasons their wedding keeps getting postponed.
The pandemic has definitely been a problem, but Artem’s parents also still live in Russia.
“The one promise I made him before we can plan, is that his parents can attend, and with where the world’s at right now and trying to get two Russian parents into the country, it’s almost impossible,” Nikki recently told ET. “So, the day I can get two visas, is the day we will set our date and say, ‘I do.’”
