Although Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas is still going strong, what happens after all of the Christmas movies have aired? New Year, New Movies! Ready to exchange the ice skating and hot chocolate for some fresh romances?

This year’s New Year, New Movies crop includes a When Calls The Heart fan favorite, and the first installment of a highly anticipated trilogy of movies.

Hallmark’s The Perfect Pairing Kicks Off New Year, New Movies

The Perfect Pairing stars Nazneen Contractor (Children Ruin Everything, A Winter Getaway), and Brennan Elliott (The Crossword Mysteries, Open By Christmas).

According to The Futon Critic, influential and anonymous food and wine critic Christina (Contractor) finds herself at a winery she panned in the past.  She hopes to leave before anyone finds out who she is.

However, she slips on ice and hits her head.  The Hollingbrook family, led by single father Michael (Elliott) graciously takes Christina in while she recovers and tries to jog her memory. In the process, Christina helps the Hollingbrooks prepare for their annual wine tapping party. This also includes Michael’s risky passion project, ice wine. 

Originally called Love And Ice Wine, The Perfect Pairing premieres on Saturday, January 1, at 9 p.m. Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark’s First Movie In New Series: The Wedding Veil: Avery’s Story

The Wedding Veil series is the highly anticipated trilogy of movies developed by Lacey Chabert. It stars three of Hallmark’s top leading ladies. In the first movie, The Wedding Veil: Avery’s Story, Chabert (Christmas Waltz, Sweet Carolina), stars along with Kevin McGarry (When Calls The Heart, Heartland), Autumn Reeser (The 27-Hour Day, Christmas Under The Stars), and Alison Sweeney (Good Morning Christmas, Chronicles Mysteries).

In this first installment, three longtime college friends discover a mysterious antique veil fabled to unite its bearer with her true love. After discovering a long-lost painting, museum curator Avery (Chabert) and successful, new board member Peter (McGarry) investigate the artwork’s origins and provenance. This all happens as they plan a charity fundraiser to unveil its restoration.

The Wedding Veil: Avery’s Story premieres on Saturday, January 8, at 9 p.m. Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. Alison Sweeney and Autumn Reeser’s stories will air later.

Hallmark’s Love Is Trending Stars Jen Lilley, Christopher Russell

Love Is Trending stars Jen Lilley (A Little Daytime Drama, The Spirit Of Christmas), and Christopher Russell (Day Of The Dead, UnREAL).

Mackenzie Sullivan (Lilley) is a New York-based marketing executive struggling to keep her clients. When she returns home to a rural maple farm to help her best friend plan her wedding in just two weeks, Mackenzie learns the hard way that the love and support of family and true friends mean more than she’d imagined.

Butlers in Love Is Fierce Butler Competition

Butlers In Love stars Stacey Farber (Virgin River, Devil In Ohio), Corey Cott (The Good Fight, Filthy Rich), and Maxwell Caulfield (Love Accidentally, Grease 2).

In a prestigious butler academy, passionate Emma (Stacey Farber) and rebellious Henry (Corey Cott) train to become royal butlers where the competition is fierce and sparks fly.

Butlers In Love premieres on Saturday, January 22, at 9 p.m. Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark’s Romancing the Birthday Girl

Hallmark’s Romancing The Birthday Girl is the final movie of New Year, New Movies. This stars Emilie Ullerup (Love & Glamping, Chesapeake Shores), and Clayton James (When Calls The Heart, and Right In Front Of Me).

On her birthday, Taylor (Ullerup) opens a time capsule left by her deceased mother. Inside, contains six envelopes. In each one is a challenge to complete. These challenges that her mother—aware of Taylor’s many anxieties that hold her back—knew would expand her horizons. Moreover, these could give her the push she needs in life and help open her mind, and heart, to the possibility of love.

Romancing The Birthday Girl premieres on Saturday, January 29, at 9 p.m. Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.

North To Home On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Hallmark’s Movies & Mysteries are kicking off with the movie, North To Home. This stars Lyndsay Fonseca (Next Stop, Christmas, Young And The Restless), Kimberley Sustad (Nine Kittens Of Christmas, Wedding Every Weekend), Erica Durance (Saving Hope, Supergirl), and Barbara Niven (Hannah Swensen Mysteries, Chesapeake Shores).

Suzanne McBride (Niven) is excited to spend her birthday with her family. It will be the first time that her three adopted daughters will be together in years. This seems like a great time for a family reunion. However, the sisters are each wrestling with unique challenges that threaten to derail this special occasion. Will their bond be strong enough to survive this time together?

North To Home premieres on Sunday, January 9, at 10 p.m. Eastern, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. This is Hallmark’s sister channel.
