What Does Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev’s Relationship Look Like Today?
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev have had their shares of ups and downs over the years. Like in any relationship, they’ve had happy periods and rocky ones too. But where do the two stand today?
Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella are still making time for family amid crazy schedules
Dancing With The Stars just ended for the year, which means Artem Chigvintsev is able to go back home. DWTS contestants have to take careful measures and quarantine away from their families so they don’t catch COVID-19 and spread it around on the set. Needless to say, this can be a very lonely time for the dancers and their families. And it also didn’t help that Nikki Bella also got a judging job on AGT: Extreme.
“It’s been really hard on us, but we’ve had some sexy FaceTimes. And we’re actually in a good spot. We were doing a little rocky for a bit,” Nikki admitted on a recent episode of The Bellas Podcast. The two also share a son, Matteo. He’s been staying with his mother as his parents navigate their hectic work schedules.
Although, it seems like Nikki and Matteo were able to find some time to visit Artem on the DWTS set.
Artem is from Russia, which means he was raised to communicate differently than Nikki. She admits that definitely had an impact on the relationship, but they’re doing much better now.
“Now we’re stronger than ever,” the Total Bellas star said.
The couple went to therapy last year to keep working on their relationship
Last year, the couple entered couple’s counseling just after Dancing With The Stars ended for the season. But it seems like the two really found a way to make things work. Even though they’ve had to spend time away from each other, they’re able to hammer out their problems and stay happy and committed.
“When you’re away from each other, there’s different time zones. Myself having Matteo and working long hours, I need Artem to check-in in ways of like, ‘How are you? How are you doing? How’s Matteo doing? What can I do?'” the wrestler said. “Sometimes I feel like the other person, mainly the dads, they get into this [mindset of] they FaceTimed and that’s great, and they get on the phone and that’s where it ends for them. And it’s just hard when the involvement beyond that isn’t there.”
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are happily engaged today, but as far as we know they’re still delaying their wedding plans. Nikki told ET that their busy schedules just made it too difficult to sit down and make concrete wedding plans. But they still want to get married someday.
