RHOBH fans are upset that Lisa Rinna may be profiting off her mother’s death. What’s behind the accusations? Keep reading for all the details.

Lois DeAndrade Rinna passed away earlier this month

On Thursday, November 11, Lisa Rinna shared sad news with her followers on social media. Her 93-year-old mother was “transitioning” after a stroke. Lois, who made several appearances on RHOBH, passed away just four days later.

Bravoholics sent their love and condolences for the beloved matriarch. But is Lisa Rinna going too far in her grief?

Lisa Rinna uses mother’s death to promote makeup line?

On November 20, a promo popped up involving the star’s makeup line, Rinna Beauty. Known for her large, luscious lips, Lisa Rinna launched the company in 2020, focusing on lipstick.

The Rinna Beauty promo states that any purchases from November 20 through the 21st would get a free ‘I Love Lois’ lipstick.

What may have been meant as a tribute to her late mother was a miss with fans.

It also led to gossip alleging that the RHOBH star is having financial problems.

When Lisa Rinna retweeted the promo on her Twitter, she received a lot of backlash from followers. “Well this is a new low for you Lisa,” one person wrote.

Another said, “Not you using Louis’s [sic] passing to make money.” A third person called the soap alum “tacky” for the promotion.

However, it sparked a secondary discussion on social media. Instagram blog account @bravosnarkside reposted a blind item from gossip site Crazy Days & Nights.

The blind item alleges that a “celebrity/reality/acting couple” was in such dire financial straits that “one is exploiting the death of a family member for money.” The other is “on the autograph circuit” earning money by signing autographs.

The social media post earned almost 300 comments, with most people guessing the blind item was about Lisa Rinna and her husband, Harry Hamlin.

Hamlin will appear at a fan convention in January. RosterCon, which keeps track of celebrity conventions, lists the L.A. Law alum appearing at several conventions since 2019.

One Twitter user thinks they know why Lisa Rinna is allegedly having financial problems. After another user suggested the RHOBH donate the money made from the I Love Lois lipstick to charity, they were reminded that Lisa Rinna is being sued for $1.5 million dollars.

Do you think Lisa Rinna is profiting off her mother’s death with the I Love Lois lipstick? Or is the RHOBH star simply honoring her mom? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. I’m honestly not a fan of Lisa’s…yet my mind NEVER even went to a place she would be profiting from her mom. Whether you love or hate the woman, there’s no disputing the fact that she was really proud of her. Lois was loved for being Lois. It appears as more of a tribute to Lois and to all that adored her. People grieve so differently. Some focus on celebrating the life shared rather than the death. It’s totally insensitive to make any such accusations or judgments especially when someone has experienced such a tremendous loss.
